Alan Jackson songs are REAL. Father of 4 here. This hits hard every time I hear it. Going on 18 years. Give his WHERE WERE YOU a listen. Have Kleenex near. It’s his reaction to the NYC attacks in 2001.

Grew up listening to this dude, he is from Newnan Georgia south of Atlanta & 40 miles west from me! In the early 90s folks said I looked like him except I wore a cap not a cowboy hat, had the long mullet & mustache tho! Hard to believe I am almost 60 with 3 kids & 4 grandkids {Alan Jackson is 65} ✌💖☮

I remember hearing this song when my wife and I were first married in 1994. All we ever wanted was to grow old together. We made 2 beautiful girls together. The kids are gone making their own families. My wife and I know we will be going home to the Lord soon, but when we look back… it’s just like this song. My kids have been out of the house for quite a few years, yet when I go through the front door, I swear I hear the sound of their feet running down the hallway yelling out “Daddy is home”. My wife’s kisses feel just like when we first dated… me thinking why is this hot woman kissing a guy like me.
