I have a feeling that even if they weren’t paying people for good reactions to trying prime, they’re in India, which has way different social norms, and the timid politeness that some of the people shown were engaging in was likely a result of those norms. They didn’t know what was happening, someone just handed them a strange drink and asked them to try it (likely in a language they either don’t understand or understand very little of due to education levels in India being a whole mixed bag), and not knowing the intentions behind being handed the drink, probably didn’t want to cause any negative reaction whether they actually liked it or not.
