Thank you Mrs. Kuffour for sharing your story. I have learned about autism in my abnormal child psych class but never really felt the need to delve into it or be an advocate. I am very much touched by your story and for bringing light to the matter. After I'm done with school, I will definitely want to come back to Ghana tonspread awareness on autism.

All the knowledge and experience and know-how, God is using you to teach others, mum. You are going to be the light and a resource for Ghanaian women and families in similar situations. I read Science in Achimota School too so this is even more personal and passionate. Let the Good Lord guide you. It’s not easy but God will use your experience. Nana Yaa will get married and have children. Don’t worry, you have everything you want in a daughter🙏

As some one in the psychiatric field,I am so impressed about the work you're doing with Nana Yaa. Mom you,re doing really good with her. Im not even sure about how accessible the resources are in places like Africa. Im encouraged by the other lady on the panel. Im so impressed about your knowledge of IEP, multidisciplinary approach including pediatrics, speech and neurology. How do you do it without the resources that we have here in America. My heart ❤ and love goes out to you Mama Mary. Keep educating people . Thanks for all you do. Glad Nana Yaa knows her fathers name, job et al. So glad that Nana Yaa has such support around her including her brothers. I can't even imagine how autism in Africa can be, especially without readily available resources. Its even difficult here in the states with autism.

This is great awareness for Ghana. I hope to come some day to understand there situation. There is the "Special Mothers Project". The NGO started for cebral palsy but supports all. Accra Hospital is a mental health hospital that takes ppl with dd and would love to change the situation. The situation was bad in 2015.

First of all, this pretty girl is not autistic. She can talk and I refuse to see her as one. Her mom is a true definition of a phenomenal woman. Am so in love with her and her entire family wow. She should continue to pray because one day miracle would just happen. I wept at a point but this pretty dime would be in my prayers. Auntie Mary is highly advanced in the queens language.
