Matt, there is a new game called KSA (Kitten Space Agency) made by Harvester, Blackrack and many developers from KSP2 and KSP1. It's not out yet and should release in 2025, SWDennis made a Video about it.

There is apparently a group of modelers working to “complete” ksp2 from what I’ve heard in the intercept discord. They’re working on the colonies, but may continue from there.

Nate might have said they wanted noodle, but what he meant is that noodle should have been kept for monstrosities, not actual rockets.

The wing mod is B9 Procedural Wings Fork, its used in realismoverhaul for the reasons you listed but it can be used independantly.

That first glitch is caused by Kerbals using Boeing spec for the fasteners. Just whatever's on clearence at Home Depot. Or sometimes no fastener at all.

From what I see I'm pretty sure the "face" in the middle of both kerbal statues is actually meant to resemble a kraken. I see the random bulge in the middle as the beak and the two squiggles as tentacles of the kraken

5:00 B9 Procedural wings mod for KSP 1 brings back what we had with Microsoft Flight Simulator '95 in the aircraft builder from back in the day. Same with the color coding, but with fewer colors back then because 256 was it lol I'm old :P

Take Two did finally announce that they sold Private Division, though they didn't disclose who the buyer was yet. If that sale included the IPs under the Private Division umbrella, maybe we'll see the return of KSP2, but I'm not holding my breath.
