Finally some good fucking content on interstellar extended. Despite this mod being at the top of curseforge, it seems like barely anyone uses it appreciates it. Very few people really know how it works.

That's awesome! I'm so glad I could help. Take note though, I tend to build craft that work in game but are not so realistic. The radiators being 'pancaked' together is not such a great idea in RL (@FreeThinker pointed this out to me) as they will self radiate each other. But I'm glad the general idea gets across in that you need so much radiator to balance so much heat production based on what you are trying to accomplish. Keep Kerbaling and feel free to suggest topics to cover!

Career is unplayable without interstellar extended. Without this mod, career is a walk in the park to unlock everything. This mod adds so much depth and difficulty. Using stock parts to do everything is boring.

So, my beam core antimatter powerplant doesn't work with an MHD generator, only a thermal one, and it keeps saying it won't work because it's solarwind deprived. do you know what's up with that?

That sounds like a bug. May want to report it to the mod author. It shouldn't be asking for solar wind. Should use anit-protons and protons (hydrogen).

Hi there! Sorry for the late reply. Power priority is used to specify which parts get electricity first if there is not enough to power all parts. Parts with the lowest number will be powered before parts with a higher number. If all parts have the same priority then I think there is an internal priority list that determines what gets power first. (pro tip, give your fusion reactors lowest number (highest priority) to ensure fusion stays powered. If your vessel has surplus electricity then this setting doesn't do much.

How did you jump to orbit like that? Mod or some hotkey I'm unaware of?

in this video i used the cheat menu. alt+F12. I usually do a launch with rockets or I'll use the antigravity capability of the warp rings to get to orbit. In this video, since I was testing multiple iterations of this vessel (basically designed it as I was making the vid) I opted for the cheat menu since it was quicker.

I don’t see the point of the beam core reactor. It produces way more power than any engine is capable of aging with out overheating to hell, and it on works most efficiently with magnetic propulsion. I could use the thermal antimatter reactor or the micro fusion reactor instead.

the beam core is a bit of a niche device, totally true. In almost every application the thermal positron reactor is superior. But, when used with magnetic propulsion and properly cooled. The beam core gives delta V measured in percent C. It's gnarly :) The thermal antimatter reactor (the warp core looking thing) is so sweet though, super powerful. Great for generating electricity. The AIM though, is the 'magic bullet.' That thing is what the world needs.Keep flying!

I honestly dont know but probably. I think the i3's integrated graphics can handle it but you will likely want a texture reduction mod.
