KSP Mods - Kerbol Plus

To everybody wandering what happened with Kerbol Plus: As KSP and Kopernicus versions advanced, old configs no longer worked and most of the ppanets got bugged despite my attempts to fix them (I'm lead developer BTW). KillAshley, the developer who worked on all the textures in Kerbol Plus then got angry about how poorely managed Kerbol Plus and his textures were so he took the mod over under the name Kerbol Plus Remade. Trough with a slightly updated style, it now mentains some of the planets in original Kerbol Plus. The real scope of Kerbol Plus was to recreate NovaSilisko's ideas so I scrapped Kerbol Plus and entirely remade all of its celestial bodies under the name of Kerbol Origins, right now being the mod that recreates the GP2 in the best way. Being mentained by me, Olympic1 and TheWhiteGuardian, the mod is being development ever since Kerbol Plus broke and it also includes biomes intergration and ore as well as basic science system intergration. The Sarvin system is now of course a whole lot more interesting and beautiful so be sure to check Kerbol Origins up, the evolved version of Kerbol Plus!

Also, for kottabos: the strange lines on ganag are just an easter egg. Think about it as a secret burried alien base with a special biome and crazy science in the future. Ground scatter on the planets is planned for future versions along with proper science defs.

I love this mod ! That's the only planets pack I've tried ... I installed it and imediatly built something able to get me to Sarvin. I had to watch those amazing rings myself and I was totally not disapointed. It is an amazing pack. FYI, it works perfectly with Kerbal Alarm clock, which makes the exploration of these new planets/moons a lot easier :) Glad you finally reviewed the mod

Great video. Although I believe glitches on planets give you somewhere to go. The Mohole being one of the most interesting. That stitch on Gonog could make a good landing strip or flat vehicle route for transport between moon bases or refineries. It also adds to inner monologue. "Aliens" and all that.

1. In regards to the commit, check back and see if you still have framerate issues with 64-bit 1.1 update :) 2. My big concern with this pack is the orbits look like they would influence each other. I can see planets, and maybe some moons being thrown out of orbit (especially Valit/Drais)

Well, this is a very stable mod with no known incompatibilities. If you have enough memory you're good and there is no reason to crash because of this mod.

My guess is that the asteroids are set on highly eccentric orbits, setting them on a path that directs them close to Kerbin. Wouldn't necessarily demote Kerbin to a dwarf-planet status however, because it's too large to even be classified as one.

I don't like the "clear its orbit" specification. Is Earth not a planet because many asteroids cross its orbit? Is Jupiter not a planet because it has two massive groups of asteroids _sharing_ its orbit just like the planetoid here? 🤣IMO, we're trying to find a rigorous definition which fits our preconceived ideas, but as usual, the universe just wants to blow our minds. ;) @@planetearth2249 And so dense, it can't be made of normal baryonic matter! in the vanilla game Jool is the 5th planet from Kerbol and theres two dwarf planets one on the near side of Jool Dres which is like Ceres and also in the vanila game theres a asteriod belt in this area too as well as one just beyond Kerbal i one seen one in my game and on the far side of Jool is the dwarf planet of Eeloo which is also a dwarf planet. Sarvin is the 6th planet which is like Saturan,, the 5 planets in a vanilla are Moho, Eve, Kerbin , Duna and Jool. theres 16 worlds in the system. this mod here doubles the size of the solar system by adding Sarvin and its moons plus some more dwarf planets

I think that "Harvest" could not a scientific reality, because if it was so close to Kerbin's orbit, the two would eventually encounter each other within a few orbits and would fling each other's solar orbits out of wack... so long before Kerbals came to exist on the planet, Kerbin and Harvest would have been flung outward toward Duna's orbit or down toward Eve and Kerbol!

I definitely might consider this mod, although I'm having OOM problems with KSP right now, and I don't think this would help at all. It's actually really easy to land on Eve due to the very thick atmosphere. The hard part is getting off, both because of that atmosphere and the high gravity.

Well, now in May 2019 I got the new released 1.7 making history game. and damn it I use the Hyper Edit to move the space probes to the planets and I am so new to this stuff. But huge problems here now? I lost 3 long range self designed and made super probes with 4 robot landers in it's 2 sides mounted cargo bays! Evey time I try to move the probe they crash into the place I sent them? I even input the right safe distances with a extra amount of distance. However every time bang the probe is destroyed on the surface? I even had a same sort of problem with the time I had one lander probe un-docked and taken slowly by me out of the side bay to a nearby astroid as I wished to scan it close up? For some odd reason my full set of scanning items on the front of the super probe seemed to be stuck on Kerbin scanning even though I was 2 million Kms away from it? I just could not change it over to any other object like the asteroid I was flying along side about 50 meters away! That's why I sent out one of the 4 landers! It was hard to move that around? I not good at controlling them myself. Anyway I go it next to the asteroid about 2 meters away and it also could not unset from Kerbin scan? so odd. I gave up and tried to move back to the mother probe ship and redock in the bay? The electric charge died I had forgot to put a good power unit on it? I got hyper edit to redo the electric but the lander was floating away from the mother ship soon 100 meters. I thought I use hyper edit to put it near the mother ship and then back into the bay? Instead even with safe distance set, the lander smashed into the mother ship fast and they were destroyed. Damn we need a clear well informed step by step Hyper edit review video for the 1.7 ksp game version? Please...

Instead of changing inclination then ascending node in HyperEdit, you can just change the mean anomaly. Just a little thing I thought would be easier.
