Hey, glad to see you back in the saddle on KSP dude!

Good stuff, although I'd suggest you consider using stored propellant for orbital operations, as liquid hydrogen will quickly evaporate (and liquid oxygen will soon follow). UDMH/N2O4 and MMH/N2O4 pairs are pretty much a standard in real life for this purpose - even though they are very toxic and dangerous, they are temperature-stable and hypergolic and thus fit the purpose very well. If you don't feel like installing OMS engine(s), you can probably just add some directional RCS in the the back and use them for orbital maneuvers.

I love this series! Keep it up!

Your second stage could use a "get the f' out of the way" booster. Just to give it a forward and descending kick while you are busy turning your fuel tanks back on.

This is my favorite build of yours since the Roc! Although I have to say, they'd never do this design in the real world since it is probably one of the few rocket architectures with worse abort ability than the shuttle...

Here's the mod I wanted to turn several fuel tanks on and off with an action group: forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/100932-0-25-Actions-Everywhere-%28Nov-22-14%29-Action-Group-it-all-w-Crossfeed-Control I just didn't know about it yet.

Ok, I swear I wrote my comment before you said the exact same thing at the end of the episode!

that "interstage fairing adapter" thingie is awesome for various reasons. in my personal experience though, the fact that it is a decoupler annoys the hell out of me so i edited it to make it just a part and not a decoupler. it could even be duplicated into a non-decoupler part.
@TheWinterOwl10 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea.
@emperorSbraz10 жыл бұрын
beware, *that thing is a decoupler for a reason*, sometimes it screws up d/v calculations, but honestly i always went around the problem by simply using a different design. it's very rare, but it happens.

to "solve" weirdly attaching angles to wedged parts try rotating them by 45° or just snap at 45°.
@TheWinterOwl10 жыл бұрын
I tried it at 90 degrees and that didn't fix the problem. Don't recall if I tried 45, though. I'll give it a shot.

Are you sure that your right fuel tank was activated? Does the symmetry sync still work after launch?
@TheWinterOwl10 жыл бұрын
Good call. After recording, I realized that I neglected to turn that tank on. The ship reached orbit with 440m/s delta-V still available.

Can u do more from the depths

At the moment I'm kind of determined to get my KSP storyline working. That will eventually change again, and I'll start looking at other projects.

Can you make a plane that goes about 10,000 Mille per hour
@TheWinterOwl10 жыл бұрын
Somebody check my math. 10k mph = 4470.3 m/s I think that's right? Orbital speed over this rescaled Kerbin is a little over 6k m/s. All my spaceplanes already meet and exceed this challenge. By a lot.

No, I like having a little bit of noise to break up the silence and unchanging music.
