You three do the best collabs. The solar panel thing may be caused by Kopernicus's code to support multiple star systems. They've been working on that recently.

Using the in-game screen was a really nice touch! || "Gael" is an old Briton word for the Irish. (Possibly any foreigners, but let's ignore that.) Kerbals are green, so maybe Gael...ic Kerbals are Patricks! Or Paddys! But naming them after the player actually makes a lot of sense, and "Gaels" makes even more sense again. || Good episode!

Nope, air brakes have not been buffed. I followed your video/tutorial on building an SSTO to minmus and back. The air brakes were the first thing to explode at a sniff of heat. Thankfully they turned out to be entirely unnecessary. I didn't make the space centre but for my first attempt at an SSTO then getting to minmus, landing, getting back to kerbin and landing on kerbin without exploding was enough :) Thanks Matt xxx

The reason that your solar panel got bugged from the second star, Grannus in the Galileo planet pack. Kopernicus currently have a problem with a solar system with more than one star. It should be patched soon.

The solar panel problem is because there are multiple stars in GPP, so you have to use that new Near Future Elecrical feature where you can tell your panels which star to aim at.

The solar panel glitch it is because of the Galileo pack; I get the bug it quite often as well. I believe it has something to do with the fact that that system has 2 stars.

I don't think solar panels breaking is based off time spent in atmosphere because I've accidentally deployed panels on my planes before while flying and they break immediately before even finishing the deploy animation.

I sure do like the idea of flying into space like that, I have been wondering why dont they just do that instead of using rockets (I dont know if they do or dont, I havent updated my knowledge) but if its possible, why not do it. if it is, the rockets have mere symbolic value at that point.

Because it's only easy on Kerbin. To escape Kerbin's atmosphere takes roughly 3600 m/s of dv, which is achievable with a couple of very powerful jet engines followed by some rocket engines. On Earth, it takes 9400 m/s of dv, which is really hard without staged rockets. We are working on SSTOs in real life, but it's very hard with our current technology and it doesn't allow a large payload being sent to space.

I had a similar issue to your solar panel bug when I installed a planet pack. No matter what I tried, solar panels didn't work at all. I never found a fix and ended up having to design missions using only nuclear reactors for power
