KSRTC provide excellent service and quality buses. Because the rate per km is double the rate per km of tnstc and SETC. Some buses charges are higher then private travel buses. So only Karnataka govt purchase all brands of buses then any other state government buses. One more point Karnataka bus fare charges are highest in the country.

True'.... I have been traveling in KSRTC since 1990... VERY excellent bus service. From Kundapur to Chennai Government Volvo bus playing since 15 years back... from Mangalore and Mysore most of the buses are Very excellent government luxurious Volvo buses....I think nowhere else such kind Super buses are playing.... Even City buses in Hubli- Dharwad BRTS A/c buses are very excellent services to the public at very affordable prices named CHIGARI

One disadvantage of this bus is it doesn't have speed lock @ 80Kmph it can reach even 100. Recently at high speed it met with an accident in newly constructed Bengaluru - Mysuru highway and conductor died on spot.
