Frey responds to City Council overriding his veto of the 2025 budget

The Minneapolis city council sucks. I used to live in Minneapolis. I hope people of Minneapolis vote wisely next time, Minneapolis is going the Detroit way. Crime and corruption are rampant. Frey is the only sane voice.

Thank the Lord he is in a position that he can speak against an irresponsible and overreaching Minneapolis city council. I look forward to voting for him again and hopefully there can be changes in the city council makeup so the city can have a brighter future.

@@bate01071 He gave them a budget with HIS pet projects (like downtown concerts) that had an 8.1% levy, and then they worked their asses off to bring down the levy to a lower amount by cutting money in his budget for dumb shit that isn't needed (like police horses). Then he makes it sound like THEY are raising the levy, and lies about "yoga in the park" being in the budget (it was not.) This is the strong mayor system he wanted, he got it. Those City Council members are elected by their wards, just like he's elected. This is how the process works. He is lying about what he put in the budget and what they put in the budget, because he's petty and divisive, and always acts like a lawyer trying to discredit other people, instead of acting like a member of our community.
