KTM 150 XC-W TPI tips and tricks

Here are a few of the changes I made to my 2021 KTM 150 after owning it for a year. I was having some sort of allergies going on plus it was about 25 degrees out when I filmed this. So, that's why my voice sounds weird.

0:56 youve made it even more vulnerable by make it stick out further. Changing it to aluminium isnt going to stop it breaking. You can still use the plastic one but you have to point the hose tail straight in toward the engine then remove the hose bend and replace it with a short straight piece.

The aluminum part has been 100% reliable. The earlier KTMs used an aluminum part instead of plastic. I did not change the angle or hose.

@@StarbreakerGenX Thats only because it hasnt been hit by a rock yet. Believe me, being made from aluminium wont stop it from breaking, ask me how I know. My friends are bike chuckers, you know what that means. The only solution is to point it inwards and change the hose.

The silencer part number is 1051912. It's fits MY 2019-2022.

Sweet picking up a 22 shortly. What Skid plate did you go with? And did you need the 29mm fuel connector screw or did stock bolt right up with the CNC new piece?

Eric, the stock fuel screw fits with the aluminum elbow. My bike came stock with a skid plate. I did buy a piece of skid plate foam to put between it and the bottom of the trans so it doesn't pack with mud.

@@StarbreakerGenX oh cool good to know the stock connector is the right size I can just add CNC elbow and swap O rings and clamp it on. Sounds pretty easy!

How did the TSP upgrade go? Big difference?

Yes, the kit is pricey but it makes a substantial improvement to the bike. Power from the low to the mid is stronger and without any hiccups. Also, the oil pump runs more too which is a really good idea for a smaller engine like the 150.
