Have you had a chance to test the 300 tpi? I hear it has more low end power.
@LambChopRides6 жыл бұрын
No not yet CC but sure it would have more usable power and torque. I've just bought my own 500 exc six days to do an SM convertion on, I thought about getting the tpi but I want wheelie hooligan fun and the two strokes are much harder to control once the wheel is up as no engine braking. I know lots of oil changes but it's very easy to do and the bike only holds 1.2 liters so oil cost is low anyway.

Thank you so much for the great review! Fun video, that bike is so lovely! I own on a 250 4 stroke kx250f from 2020. Do you think this 250 2 stroke is scary fast for me, or is it nice and smooth? I’ve ridden 1000cc sportsbikes before, but dirtbikes on the track are obviously a lot different. I want a 2 stroke so bad, and this tpi model caught my attention for sure, easy maintenance too. Hope you can tell me if it’s worth it to look for one. Thanks mate!

Chops, how was the new TPI 2 stroke on normal tarmac roads? I really want to get a bike for green laning soon. But will need it to do some road work to get to the trails etc.. ideally I’d like something I could also put some supermoto rims on for some summer fun on road, bit like your 701.. I'm liking it a lot. It's like riding a lightweight turbocharged 4 stroke enduro bike. It has the goodness of a four stroke, well mannered tractor like low down grunt but has a nice 2 stroke pipey braaap too. I'm pretty sure pure 2 stroke fans will disagree. It may not be aggressive or raw enough for the purebloods, but they will understand one day ;-) Get one borrowed, you'll love it.

HOT Carburetion: Is the new STIC system better than fuel injection? Yes! Dick and Jane like fast two strokes; they are really impressed with the Keihin with STIC insert. Jane says to Spot; WOW, see Dick [John] run; Dick [John] is very fast. See the STIC insert work; Dick [John] is very fast on his STIC equipped Keihin carburetor. Jane and Spot are happy that John is wicked fast on his Husqvarna 300. Jane and Spot think John’s bike is on Steroids [STIC]. To see John go very fast click on this video below to see John accelerate; he is very happy and very fast on his STIC Rapid Transit System. Jane and Spot are happy that John is not on steroids; that it is a Keihin carburetor that is on STIC steroids. For details see the following video: Husqvarna 300 kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGaappmQqrGYqqs

Every 100 hrs piston & rings that will get expensive.
@sk22837 жыл бұрын
Not really, in reality 150 hours of mixed green lane & enduro use is more like it, top end kit at around £120 easy job takes a couple hours in your garage if you can hold a spanner the right way round you can do it yourself !
@drunksanta14277 жыл бұрын
exactly, used to do it on my moped but the larger bikes are quite similar
@sk22837 жыл бұрын
yep, piece of cake, 150 hours / 3000 miles will equate to about a years riding or even 2 for some. A lot of guys I know will do enduro & some green laning will only manage 50 hours or so of run time per year. 2-strokes are so easy to maintain
@Northstar-Media7 жыл бұрын
Yes i agree 2 strokes are easy to maintain if you have some mechanical knowledge & able to maintain yourself ,people estimating the oil mix caused a lot of problems on older bikes & not letting engine cool down .Looks like tech has come a long way. great for week end fun .
