So nice, out of interest what would this bike + upgrades set someone back? 15k USD?

You can call it "Tusk build"

Why aren’t you guys making a panier system for the KTM 500 exc like you’ve done for the Honda 450L? I have a Giant Loop but like the idea of fixed luggage as well.

You guys should do a wr450 adventure build. Plate it and go. Thatd be awesome

What did you use for that dash you mounted the heated grip toggles to?

Looks good! Only thing keeping me from one of these is the vibration, did it get any better in the newer model years?

Balancing the wheels made a world of difference on my '17. The seat still kills me if I'm on pavement for more than an hour though

Is that Seat Concepts seat the XL or standard?

Does anyone know if these bikes would benefit from a Cush drive hub or is it even needed? I’m looking at mainly off road with some light pavement in between or from the garage to the trail….5-20 miles depending where I am headed. I am referring specifically to a 2020 KTM 500 EXC-f.

I’m surprised the subframe can hold all that stuff.

I wouldn't put that much on mine, small saddle bags and a backpack would be it.

I was going to do a build like this but the crf300 rally is half the price.

I just pointed out to my buddy the other day that Chase doesn't actually ride trails, so it was odd of him to pick that phrase.

He actually does every once in a while, but definitely more of a Motocross track guy. We get him on the trails when we can :) - Justin

Feel free to laugh at me, but I would never go for an soloadventure on a bike without a kickstarter!
@One_Mile_Up3 жыл бұрын
Kickstarter won't do you much good on these newer EFI bikes tho... you need to have a capacitor in order to start the bike without a battery... ask me how I know! 😅
@gladeamatoren71063 жыл бұрын
@@One_Mile_Up Would be very intresting to hear😀Carb or Efi?
@One_Mile_Up3 жыл бұрын
EFI - completely dead battery. Wouldn’t start ☹️. Built a little capacitor (super easy) and put an SAE lead on for quick connect when needed... no more dead battery issues... can run with NO battery installed on the bike (not recommended for long term tho).

What is the bikes gearing

We kept the stock 14/48 gearing on this bike.

Nice and it did fine keeping up with something like the 790 at cruising speeds as far as a group I’d also like to see a video in the near future of what you guy do as far as maintenance for this bike after a long adventure since I have a 2020 excf 500 six days and mainly use rocky mtn for my maintenance and parts thanks for the speedy reply

Dirtbikes don't have racks. Get soft bags and be done with it. Just a Tusk advert really.
