Ktm 65 power valve issue

Having a shop that does service on minicycles exclusively , I have this comment. This exhaust valve system is the simplest and most reliable system of all the minis. It has the fewest number of parts , doest have issues with carbon build up like they others can , has little chance of mechanical wear. It is 100 % surperior to the govner operated systems because the linkage do want wear and effect the timing of when it opens and closes. The previous owner striped out the thread stud on the valve because they didn't know what they were doing. The only problem that is common is the bladder not being replaced when it gets week or the vacuum line getting brittle and cracking . You calling out KTM was really ridiculas.

What can I say. Not a fan of Ktm. Just to weird for me. I have owned a few now. I like the Japanese bikes better. My opinion means nothing in the world of dirt bikes. As far as reliable I have seen the kx 65 run for years. Ktm is definitely a true race machine but not everyone wants to ride at race speed every time they are on the bike. Again my opinion with my time spent with Ktm.

Question the stock powervalve doesnt have the little wings on top .. and also a different size from the pax power valve any issues with it opening fully.?

Not sure man It’s been awhile since I worked on a ktm. I don’t want to own a ktm ever again 😂

I thought my sons bike had the same issue. Turned out to be a plugged vent line on the top of the power valve.

I am not really sure. But it seems like a very big problem that went on for years.

Someone didn't know how to install it! 6mm under 8 mm on top! Never had a issue.

@@user-dj7xm7in8y lol I have owned many bikes over the years. And fixed all brands. I didn’t say it’s a bad bike. Just a flawed part. Nihilo is way better design. All bikes have different issues. That is what the aftermarket world is all about.
