KTM 790 Duke first ride and some thoughts

Took out the KTM 790 Duke for a test ride and what a great bike it turned out to be :)

Thanks for posting this up - I rode the exact same bike a day or two later I think. A few negatives stood out for me - the seat was quite firm and became uncomfortable (numb bum) after about 40 minutes, the brakes didn't inspire a lot of confidence on first pull but later on once you were used to them they were OK-ish and finally the engine seemed to hunt if it was held around 3,300 to 3,400 RPM. This was in Street mode so I'm not sure if Sport mode changes that. I also thing there might be less drag when you de-throttle in Sport mode - could be wrong there but it might explain your observations about that behaviour. Great bike overall though - really enjoyed the ride. Sounds amazing.

Test drove 790 two weeks ago, totally amazing. Think this guy has a Honda gold wing. Can't wait for mine to arrive.

Thanks for the review man. Break lever is adjustable ;) It took me a while to adjust to the peddle positions, but that is from riding a Thunder Bird 900. Yes it is a very fun 'little' bike :D I would not have any other

Very nice reviews(I also watched your Duke 1290 review)...You're well spoken and concise. Feel free to keep on singing if that's what's you do, I always appreciate when a persons personality comes out on their vids... plus, the filtering song is now stuck in my head... lol ;)

Knees less than 90 degrees, do you think more straight or bent than 90? And how tall are you for comparision, I'm 6'1 which is not that tall but its uncomfortable to sit squeezed, i would like to test ride it myself but there are no ktm dealerships nearby
