KTM 890 Duke R Test Ride | Butter Smooth!!!

G'day and thanks for stopping by.
There are parts where I called it the KTM Duke 890 and other parts where I said 890 Duke. just know I'm talking about the same thing haha.
I own a 2020 Husqvarna 701 Supermoto which I have ridden for the last two years and in this video, I test rode the 2023 KTM Duke 890 R.
The Super Scalpel is a phenomenal bike that I believe is more than plenty fun on the road for any motorcycle rider.
I had heard countless positive reviews of this bike over the last few years and wouldn't resist getting on its saddle when the opportunity presented itself.
As mentioned in the video, this is not a review, just sharing my experience.

I can't believe I didn't know a KTM 890 Duke exists!! Looks amazing man. Great review (even though you said it's not a review lol), would love to see you ride more bikes and hear what you think about them 😅. No pressure though 🤣.

Cheers bro. I most certainly will be incorporating more non-supermoto rides on the channel. Can you freely take dealer bikes out for a test ride in the UK or is it a bit "stricter "?

Magazines say 184 kg (405 lb) wet, another 28+ kg (65 lb) but still pretty lightweight for what it is. Personally I have no need for 120+ horsepower as I like to keep my driver's license. Bike looks awesome though.

The bike has a quick shifter but you need to pay extra to get it unlocked 😮

You're right. I just had a read about it online. I see why they have things this way to help dealers get some extra coin, but why go through the effort of having all the necessary hardware installed and then leave it up to the customer? 😅

haha i'm thinking the same but in reverse. Have a 21' 701 but started to enjoy long range rides. Made a 3k km trip this summer to Istanbul on my 701. Was a challange lol.
