Some of the people in India have a habbit of disgusting a good thing, just because its being provided to us at a decent price. And if you had watched the review you would have noticed that i have talked about the issues we faced. And as for Bajaj, they assembled Ninja 300 at the same plant where they make the KTM but since Kawasaki decided to make it the overpriced motorcycle it became an epitome of quality.

@@carltondaniel8966 Import charges are only 10% on CKD and it's so high quality that the brakes don't work upto a standard and the tyres suck. Some people love putting money into pockets of brands that profit more on each motorcycle and sell it to anyone naive enough to believe it, like I said, for 5 years they didn't even give ABS. Lucky for me, my subscribers aren't fools and they know what type of deal KTM brings to the table. Also for the record I have a KTM 390 for last 6 years and that bike has given me far less trouble than my R15 which I sold off just after 3 years.

@Josh Sathyan I havent got more than 32 ever . But its not a problem. There are various factors in play. But I dont think u got 35kmpl for much kilometers or do u? Because sometimes if we reset the trip meter and start on a highway it can show 30+kmpl for a kilometers after which it reduces due to traffic, city usage etc.

Best review of the Duke 390 by far. I think that many professional youtube reviewers can learn a lot from your presentation, and information which is important for those looking at reviews. I was especially impressed with what rpm and speed each gear can do and is comfortable doing, and something not covered by any other reviewer was details on the built in connectivity features such as the auto volume and selecting tracks and volume and the ability to answer and see calls.... very well done. It would have been perfect if the other rider you were with had a camera and footage of you riding in addition to the first person view you took, but may be that is something you can consider for the future. Good video, Thanks. As someone thinking of selling my Vespa 250ie because new job requires me to ride half way on the freeway. I can't believe that in Australia, if anyone wants to buy a new Duke you can only buy the Duke 200 for $5k AUD ride away, the 390 for $7.5k ride away, then the next one above that is the Duke 890 (which pricing available for the 2020 model is) at $18.5k AUD ride away. That is a huge jump! Come on KTM... you could at least given us the 690 here, but for me it would not be as nimble (for a 5.7' person and 75kg). As a person who really likes Duke 390 for its small and nimble nature, I love this machine as it will be easy to commute around tight city streets, slip through traffic, and ride it on the freeway to work everyday, I really wish KTM had offered a 490 also. That extra 100cc little bit more would have been perfection for our slightly higher speed roads, traffic and freeways. P.s - every time you said duke and it made me laugh... because a duke is also slang for taking a poo in english, so then a super duke is a massive poop.. Still having mixed feelings as my friends faced some issues with the coolent, radiator and tft screen, costed close to 11k, because of weekly long rides of more than 550 kms in a day. Tires got worn out within 11000 kms in 7 months, and it around 18k for the pirellis. The service center experiece was soar and feels wasted sonetimes due to their lack of expertise and too much delay But it shines in short highway rides of around 200 kms in a day with a cruising speed of 128-130 km/hr. Even city commutes are like a cakewalk.

I really loved my duke 390 2016..the way the tank extends was super nd a big bike feel...this 1 although looks good but feels tiny viewing from tank cowl..tank feels very small..I dn't know why the tyres too feel tiny from old 1..

Saw one close up the other day. You can tell exactly where they've cut costs. Finish was dull, the casting on the wheels was poor and it just looks 'thin' in build quality compared to it's big brother models.

As far as I know both versions are same. 2017 and 19. Only after BSiv emission norms a little power delivery difference might be there. Not a major issue for regular riding.

It's an okay deal. 2.1 lac to 2.2 lac would be advantageous to you, since you would need a tyre change soon. I would bargain for 2.2 lac at that price it would be advantageous to you.

I like the Duke 390 much better. The ninja feels underpowered in low and midrange and also the brakes and tyres are inferior quality. I recommend the KTM. And issues with KTM happen because KTM owners use this bike for long tours and ride very hard where as Ninja sells much less in number and very few ninja owners actually tours on the bike and pitd it to the limit

Manish, I suggest you get a test ride. The new Duke 390 is far better for tall riders than the BS3 version but some tall people do say that it is not the most optimal position to sit in for long durations. A single test ride will tell you if it's for you.

@@Dip15927 the thing is I have used HJC myself and I have crash tested it. I am alive because of it. No helmet shop here will let me crash test their helmets and without which I cant recommend a thing. However, the HJC is a strong personally tested recommendation from me.

It is of pretty cheap quality when you take a look at the tyres and brakes which are both very important component for a person's life, because they stop the motorcycle and need I remind you Kawasaki took 4 lac per motorcycle and still didn't give it ABS for 5 years?

Many international reviews/ riders have preferred D390 over N400, N300 is still far more inferior to N400. Above all compared to international prices in India D390 is a steal.

Bs4 didn't effect the speed .... Its just the way ktm engine works brother .... There is said to b a limiter on these machines unlike Yamaha motorcycles ... They don't use limiter ... So when u taking dem on higher revs they just keep astonishing u more n more the speed just goes up

The BS3 old KTM Duke 390 was doing 173 kmph so I think the new version did get affected somehow.

@@RideWithRahulOfficial limter doesn't let u exceed its speed .... That's how it works ... U need to do overhaul ur engine or something i guess to break the limiter

I know what the limiter does and a simple piggyback ECU from powertronics can remove it but previous bike even with limiter used to reach 173 and this one is just struggling to reach 160, so top end has been affected.
