It's not the bikes fault you guys couldn't make it up. I've climbed hills that are so steep you can't even get up without ropes and climbing gear. Your 450 is a great bike for climbing hills. I'd suggest getting some instruction from people that are better riders than you and your friends. You'd be amazed at the stuff a WR 450 can climb with the right rider. ;)

Perform a front sprocket change to 12T, and you'll be able to crawl right up this and just about any hill with your WR.

It's not the bikes, it's your low riding skills which makes the difference.

Add a few more teeth to back sprocket, my wr426f would eat that hill in 2nd-3rd. I'd lay money on it.

I wish I could hit some of those hill climbs, not enough guts here.I'm surprised you try many of them while riding solo, nonetheless, hats off.

Not that impressed, I have seen way steeper and longer with wet Roots back East. You boy's need to learn how to use a Clutch and Momentum which requires a little more speed.

@vegasromaniac

I never did try it on first, but I did come home and started looking for a new bike, my 450 is not good for that kind of stuff, so I'm in the marked for a 200 pound, yz250f, but don't tell anyone it's gonna be a surprise.. , and then we are gonna se really phsico stuff.. Haha

Yea I don't think it's the bike's fault. Shift your weight forward and keep it in first. I ride stuff like that in Colorado and make it just fine on the exact same bike. It's all about your weight-shift. The bike has plenty of power and it may be heavier than those other bikes but the extra power makes up for it.

@@vegasromaniac The bike doesn't make the rider. That should have been no problem, but you were lugging so low in 2nd, and lost all of you're momentum, so when any ridges came up, instead of popping up them, you stopped.
