That is one stunning view of the city at night! The price for drinks there is much cheaper than what I paid in Chicago for something similar a couple years ago. Kuala Lumpur is such a cool city. I would love to go there someday!

It was such a great night! We're glad the drinks fit within the budget 😄 just!

They actually have a fair few covered air conditioned walkways and they also have free buses through the city loops. Love KL great city.

Ah! So many beautiful shots of Batu Caves. So bummed we never made it there during our time in KL. And no, we don't think you were over reacting about the Sprite. For $6, that should have been crisp & cold for sure. Great video guys!
@JordanandEmilyАй бұрын
Hahaha thank you! It was such a disappointment wanting to cool off with a sprite and getting warm one!

Morning is the best time to do outdoor activities in Malaysia. The monkeys at Batu Caves are macaque, quite aggressive. If you likes monkeys recommend you visit Bukit Malawati, one hour drive from KL. The monkeys there are Dusky leaf, not aggressive and their babies are orange colors

How to pronounce "Kuala Lumpur" the native & casual way, it's one word and only has three syllables without the schwa: Kolumpo [Column-poh] (imagine Colombo, Columbus) 1. KL (Kay-EL) is the new gen's pronunciation. 2. Koala Lumpoh (silent R) is the standard pronunciation. 3. Kuala Lumpur is the textbook pronunciation for academia and language studies, where Google Translate, Bing Translate and Siri learned from.

If you are still around for a few days, I can point you to the right places for food. Try Asam Laksa at Asam Laksa Petaling Street (12-7pm) if you are going there again.

One more fascinating info, have you wondered why the buildings around klcc are named Ascott, Derby Park, Desa Kudalari (running horse village)? That is because the land they, including Petronas twin towers satt on was a former turf club (horse racing circuit)

I know I went to the top of Taipei 101 in the May of 2013. Was that the tallest building in the world then?? Btw, I've been to KL in 2013-2017, teaching chemistry as a teacher, so I'm sorry to say that to you. Though only as a few short trips among my times in SE Asia, the only major time was my time in KL as a teacher in 2016's Highland International Boarding School, just so you know. And not for very long... 😕
@JordanandEmilyАй бұрын
😊 so many buildings have been the tallest in the world recently 😆 crazy isn't it!
@davidhumphrey2593Ай бұрын
@ You’re right, and that they have!! 😁 It seems that as far as when as it comes to out-ranking the world’s buildings when it comes to the tallest, at first came the UAE’s Burj Khalifa among a few of its others if I should note. BUT NOW… I think Jeddah in Saudi Arabia is up to building the tallest building ever in world history. But they have yet to be successful in all the world’s eyes… 😕🕡🌏
@ashtriana1Ай бұрын
I think burj Khalifa already surpassed Taipei 101 by that time
@davidhumphrey2593Ай бұрын
@@ashtriana1 If you want to note: The Petronas Towers: Opened 31 August 1999; 25 years ago Taipei 101: Opened 31 December 2004; 19 years ago Burj Khalifa: Opened 4 January 2010; 14 years ago You can see now the difference!!

The cost of food in Kuala Lumpur is relatively low compared with other popular cities in the world. If you know how to explore the kopitiam, mamak stores and nasi campur food culture in Malaysia. I can safely say that you'll get the best value and taste for your buck. Do your homework, and you shall be rewarded. Enjoy!😊
