I have a technical interview tomorrow. Thank you for clarifying K8s for everybody!
@KnThSelf2ThSelfBTrue3 жыл бұрын
I think a better phrasing of the first question would be "How do you automate the deployment of an application to Kubernetes?" not "How do you automate Kubernetes Deployment?" which sounds like "How would you automate the deployment of the software called Kubernetes?" which sounds like a CKA question about initializing a cluster. I also think the answer to that question is a bit tool-focused, which I think is fine for keeping things brief, but it doesn't address the fundamental technical requirements.

Hi Raj Hope you are doing Good 🙂. Thanks for amazing and informative videos. Would you mind explaining me the anwers of the below questions as myself having some confusions. What is the difference between orchestration and Management. What is the work of pause container. Why k8s introducted concept of pods. What is the work of kube-proxy. When a pod gets create what is the default resources it takes i mean memory,cpu. Is it something predefined somewhere. Thanks in advance Raj.

hi good morning Brother feel free could you make a video for the following questions if time permits The customer is approaching u to deploy a highly secured infrastructure. What was the best practice to suggest So many aspects are they how you will implement in the cloud (AWS) from the scratch. So in that scenario what are the security best practices that u follow? How will we configure AWS infrastructure? How will u take from scratch to Kubernetes? How will you plan to implement the infrastructure? Best practices we follow for infrastructure? AWS Alb + ingress controller have u tried? How u can implement Autoscaling at pod level? On what component HPA relies on in order to bring up the Autos calling we have to bring up Some file or what the dependent controller for HPA What are k8s managed services u have used? Have u implemented any self-managed clusters? What are the security best practices that u follow in k8s? Where do u store secrets? Have u created any helm chats from scratch? What are the policies u used for k8s? What is the backend used for storing secrets? What are the monitoring and logging solutions u used for this? Have u used any lambda functions? Have u used the API gateway?API gateway what are the features or just like a router? Have u ever hosted a static website on AWS using S3 + cloud front or cloud formation? IAAC(Terraform) What are the best practices in terraform to bring up ur infra or developing the terraform Template? How u will secure Main.tf and state file mgmt? CI/CD tools u r familiar with? Hi!, excelent explanation, I have a question, Is there any reason (other than availability) to have more than 1 kubernete cluster deployed in production? Thanks.
@cloudwithraj3 жыл бұрын
Hey Victor, yes. Most of the times enterprises will create separate cluster for different apps if they are not mature enough to apply all the namespace and network policy boundaries. It's also an easier way to measure cost per app. Sometimes if one cluster needs to scale a lot and hitting EC2 limits on one account, separate cluster will be created for others in other account. Hope this helps.

Sir, the last question do we need k8s for your containerized app? Do we need an orchestrator like k8s/Docker smarm if we have only 1 or 2 containers can we directly run it on Docker in production? Maybe on an EC2?
@cloudwithraj3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, if it's just 1 or 2 containers you can run on EC2. But in real world, hardly any enterprise project runs on 1 container ;). Also you need a way to bring up new container if existing one fails, scale etc.

Install open source Kubernetes dashboard. Alternatively if this is EKS cluster then used newly released EKS dashboard which comes already preintalled with EKS. Both will show nodes, pods, deployments, namespaces and more

No, you do not need programming language. You do need to know one infrastructure as code though like terraform or cloudformation. Little bash scripting knowledge also helps but you don’t need to learn traditional prigramming
