Appreciate your attention to detail in your videos. You show the how and why of the steps. Make it look very easy, but I'm going to follow tractor Mike's advice and leaving it on!
@21mph12

What are Tractor Mike's reasons for leaving it on? I'll take mine off when mowing because my 3-point mower doesn't offer any ballast when it's on the ground. Removing the loader makes my tractor more stable on the hillside. Other than that, yeah, I always have it on.
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for saying so, Terry! It is fairly easy to do once you've practiced a few times. The key is taking it off on a very flat area or, better yet, concrete. If you take it off on uneven ground, you'll get it off just fine. Getting it back on will be a nightmare, which is what I expect happened to Tractor Mike based on his video.

You make it look so easy. It has been about 7 years since I removed one of my Kabota loaders, and I'm about to do it again for my new LA525 (arrived yesterday) to get ready for winter ops. After that will be removing the BH77. Your timing is perfect. Thanks

I've watched several of these remove/reinstall FEL on the L-series Kubotas and yours is one of the best. One extra point : The drop arms have to sit on flat, solid ground or on a solid piece of plywood or lumber like a 2x10. I made the mistake of removing the FEL on a grass surface and the next day the skinny folding arms had sunk a couple of inches in the grass. One sunk a tad more than the other so it was slightly lop-sided. What a miserable pain to reinstall the loader! It took me 1/2 hour to do a 3 minute task. After watching your video I tried it again on my level, concrete driveway and it came on and went back on just like in your vid. Thanks.

Great video. Couple points: 1) activate the loader control lock after removing the hydraulic lines to prevent any surprises, 2) remember to pull back the hydraulic connector lock in order to insert and remove the hydraulic line cover, 3) make sure you are clear of any hydraulic lines when approaching the loader for attachment

Hey Martin, I missed this video so I'm making up for lost time 😊. I've taken my loader off the small Massey GC1710 many times. On the larger Massey 1533, I've never removed the loader. I had no need but one day after completing my chores, I decided to satisfy my curiosity and remove the FEL. Well....I still never did 😯. So now this video has me curious again. I probably won't b/c I just got the 1533 cleaned / detailed to trade-up and the last thing I need to do is Gurr things up right before getting rid of her. I'll just tell the dealer that the FEL is still a virgin. Enjoyed your entire presentation. Excellent tutorial and also enjoyed reading the comments. A few of them had me chuckling. Enjoy your week.

Grest video. Makes it look easy. This may seem like a dumb question but with the L series why would you ever want to remove it? With no mid PTO I can't see a reason to ever remove mine. The reason I ask is that I am adding a 3rd function (my own design) and will likely skip the quick connect couplings and plumb direct to my valving. Maybe I am not thinkIing of why one would want to remove the FEL or forgetting something. Any insight is appreciated.
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 4 жыл бұрын
The biggest reason I take it off is for maintenance of the engine. It much easier to access and inspect the engine with it off. And no, I would not raise it all the way up while working on the tractor. It would still be in the way. Once you remove it a couple of times it becomes trivial to do. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

Nice job Martin! I'm really glad you didn't have to run down your loader! LOL These loaders today are all about the same when it comes to removing them. Nice and easy. Hi John! LOL. Yes, I’m glad they’ve made it pretty easy to get them on and off these days. Yep, nothing tires me out quicker than having to chase down my loader after spooking it. It’s especially aggravating when it climbs a tree. You just have to walk away and wait for it to come down on it’s own. Have a most excellent week!

I had to change front end loader valve on L3450 Kubota, now it seems to interfere with pressure on the 3 point hitch. I justled hoses around and was able to get the hitch working by raising the hitch lever to position but had to use loader lever to have pressure for hitch what is going on over here?
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Walter! Assuming you bought a factory replacement loader valve, it should have been set up for power beyond, which has all things hydraulic in a series loop. The 3-point is the last stop on that loop before the hydraulic fluid returns to the tank. If you connected all the hoses exactly the same way, it should have worked. Unless there is a power beyond plug needed for the valve to make it operate that is bought separately. A quick call to your dealer may solve the mystery. Good luck and thanks for watching!

The loader on my Kubota is a LA854 so larger than the loader in this video. The procedure to remove or mount the loader is exactly the same. Kubota engineered a wonderful system. Yes a run away loader is very troublesome. It’s best to brand your loader in case a neighbour claims your loader is theirs if it gets onto their property.

By brush loader do you mean a grapple? If so, look for a physical obstruction of the grapple mechanism, make sure the grapple is correctly attached to your loader’s SSQA. If no issues there, then troubleshoot the 3rd function control valve and hose connections. Thanks for watching and good luck!
