Good Day eh!!! Nice job Martin. I think the air cleaner is probably the most important element you can clean when doing maintenance as it keep a lot of contaminants out of the combustion chambers. Thanks for posting. BTW, I like that you tractor talks to you!!! LOL Take care and all the best in 2020!!!

Hi Mike! Yes, indeed it's very important! I would be worried if Big Orange stopped talking to me because that would probably mean he is mad at me! Hope you had a marvelous Christmas and have a wonderful New Year!

Hello Martin, thank you for your good videos and helpful tips I appreciate your good advice as well as sense of humor. I just received my L2501 on Friday, one thing I did since I know I will be operating in dusty conditions, I ordered an internal filer that sits inside the original air filter. I can attest to how well this works on bigger Diesel engines operating in dusty conditions I was always amazed how clean the internal (safety filter) was. Part # TA040-93220 that I ordered from Coleman equipment because the shipping was cheaper to my home in Utah than other dealers. I figured I would mention it Incase you were unaware of the internal air filter. Messicks also has a good video of installation if you search L series air filter. Thank you again for you informative instructional videos, I am sure my tractor will much easier to maintenance thanks to your tips that are much easier to watch vs reading the work shop manual. Happy tractoring!

Hi Jake! Congrats on your new L2501! I was aware of the optional extra air filter but haven’t seen the need since I don’t often operate my tractor in dusty conditions. The exception is when I mow the pasture which is just a couple of times a year. Thanks for mentioning it though since it may be helpful to others who read your comment. Thanks for watching!

as always, thanks for your videos. but I am confused because a fellow in the comments says part ta040-93220 but I'm also seeing part number ta040-93230. do you know which is correct? I have a 2021 L3901
@DIYMyWay2 жыл бұрын
Hi Hany! Kubota, where air and oil filters are concerned, Kubota will sometimes changes part numbers due to design improvements or spec changes. Go with what your manual says. Your 2021 L3901 may use a slightly different air filter system than my 2017 model. Good luck!

Hey Good evening and Merry Christmas Martin. Didn't your manual recommend washing out the filter and then letting it dry at this interval? I was surprised that mine did. I ended up putting in a new one regardless, but just wanted to know if it was different for the L series than the B series. Thanks and Happy New Years!

Hey Gord! My manual says to use compressed air for dirt and dust, but if there are carbon or oil deposits on the filter, it can be washed as you described in your video. Mine just had dirt and dust so I just blasted it with air. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thank you, my 5640 is black smoking every time I start it. Also sounds like metal on metal. Always think something is wrong? Service every 500 hrs. Shop here in Virginia says tractor is fine, beginning to wonder?
@DIYMyWay3 жыл бұрын
If your tractor has had multiple 500 hour services, then it has at least 1,000 hours on it, which entitles it to belch some black smoke at start up. The metal on metal sound could be a fan belt idler bearing going bad or the water pump, among other things. Thanks for watching!

I replaced my air filter and all was well. After about one hour of running I got an air cleaner warning light on the console. What do I need to check and how do I reset the alarm?
@DIYMyWay Жыл бұрын
That suggests there’s something wrong with the filter. Check to make sure there’s no plastic wrapping left on it and that it is seated correctly. I don’t know how to reset the alarm but I imagine it will go off when the problem is resolved. Good luck and thanks for watching!

Kubota L 3010 light reset??? For air filter
@DIYMyWay4 жыл бұрын
If you are saying the Kubota L3010 has a light you have to reset after cleaning the air filter, that’s interesting! My L3901 doesn’t have such a thing. Thanks for watching!
