Note: tractor should be in neutral and park brake off while digging post holes to get a plumb hole. As you saw as you went down it skewed off plumb due to geometry of the digger as it went in down. Also clearing the tailing from the auger several time will help keep it digging. We all have lessons to learn.

Cody, FYI-put the bucket down to stabilize the tractor, then after engaging PTO, pull the seat forward (up) and the PTO stays engaged without someone sitting in the seat.

I can’t get the pto to turn without the tractor wheels rolling. How can I get the pto to turn while sitting still? I have a Kubota also.

That is a great question, I don't know why it would free spin. have you tried neutral?

@@CarolinaEarthWerx Yes. The manual says to turn the pto on raise up in the seat and raise the seat up quickly and the pto will keep spinning. I really want to run it while I am sitting in the seat. Might have to go to the dealer and ask about it.

Can you imagine if that spinning auger got caught in the fence and pulled the fence forward and the kid and his mother were thrown into that spinning auger. That is very dangerous what you did pal. The spinning auger was six inches away from the fence, six inches away from some massive injuries to your family. Were you thinking about safety at all.
