Kubota Land Pride TH35 Tilt Hitch is great for grading, but perhaps I am not! I need more practice

I am continuing to work on clearing the log skidding trails throughout the farm/forest This area gets very swampy as there is a slow seep of water coming from some place up hill. I wouldn't call it a spring as the flow is probably less than 2 gallons an hour, but it is enough to keep the soil soft so tires or skidsteer tracks sink. When I have the left to right, and the forward tilt angles correct this is an amazing attachment. I am not so amazing yet. I need a lot more practice. I have 50 hours total on the Skid Steer (Tracked Loader Kubota SLV75-3) I probably have 3 hour total with the tilt attachment.
I will keep working on it......

I also found out from dealer the manufacturer crossed the hoses so I need to fix that. I will post some more tips on using once I learn them. 😝😝😝

Id never seen this tilt hitch implement before. Could be useful for sure. Not a pro, and far from an expert but id try to get the road cut with the bucket flat and then give it a slight tilt and make a number of passes slowly increasing the drop into the swale on your left, that way you dont bite off too much and dont make and serious errors. Jealous, that soil looks soft as can be, you might could use your blade (without teeth) and back drag the swale at an angle so you can see what you are doing and slowly pull material out of swale up into the road to clear away....never used it though so maybe that might not work, but I want one now!

I have several more videos using this Kubota / Landpride TH35 Tilt attachment. I think it is my best attachment I currently own. You mention one of the key things I need to learn... patience and go slowly so you don't make divots!!. The soil at that area stays a bit moist as I believe there may be a very small spring uphill that flows so slowly it evaporates in the heat of the summer but is damp in spring/fall/winter. On another section of the farm there is an area exactly like this where the spring flows a bit more. That will be in future episodes as we continue to clean up the logging trails and prepare for forest maintenance. Our USDA/NRCS forest management plan calls for some thinning both for some commercial harvest and for improving future growth.... So much to learn, so much to do!!! Does that bucket have level on it? If not place a magnetic one on your visual side. Then you’ll know if your bucket is level for grading.

The TH35 has a level. Good suggestion for one on the bucket too. I’d like a larger bubble that’s easier to see. Take the teeth off, they are only good when you need them. This job didn't. Use Ur foot throttle and just give it the fuel you need. Will make all the difference in how smooth the machine works.

I will definitely try the foot throttle and look at the teeth. I tend to work on different ground and problems through the course of the day, so I might be working on this stretch for an hour or two, and decide to go push over a tree and rip up the roots all within an hour or two. Once I have the skidding trail all the way through and no trees to push down or dig out a smooth edge will be a good idea. Honestly didn't even know I could operate without the teeth. I had seen other videos where people repaired them, but didn't think I could use it without them. Figured I would need to buy a smooth bucket too. Once we are farther along with the farm I was considering getting a 82" or 84" bucket for reaching over the side of the gulley keeping the tracks on the main trail.... just more to learn and ponder.
