We have a lot of neglected baseball fields around my area and the word is getting out. I've done 5 so far and have 1 more lined up. I enjoy the gratification of the before and after.

Looks to be working nicely. What rpm do you run at ? Thanks

Thanks John! I run 540 rpm at the rear PTO.

I have this exact set up. I am struggling with the Pto shaft being too long and how much to trim off by my measurement its 9 inches but that doesnt leave much. Do you have a quick hitch and how much did you cut off your pto shaft? Thank you

I do not have a quick hitch. I don't remember how much I had to cut off, but it was more than I thought. It ended up being a really short PTO shaft even with little tolerance to slide it on.

@sweatequitylife if you get a chance will you measure how much you have left on each end? I ended up cutting 9 inches off mine and it broke first time using it. I think I cut too much to where there wasn't enough overlap.

@@bluelinewhitetails6205 I measured the tractor side of my PTO shaft (front 1/2) from tip of connector to end of shaft = 15.25 inches. Al ot of variables to consider here, please only use my measurements for reference. Thanks,

I have a Lx2610 and I am looking at a 60" County Line tiller however the tiller says it requires a minimum of 35 horsepower. How do you feel like the tractor handles that large of tiller? Does it have 4 or 6 tines per flange? I will be using it in a lot of rocky ground or previously untilled ground with vegetation. I was just hoping to get a bit more information how the tiller has worked out for you. Thanks.

Appreciate you watching! I just looked at the tiller info for mine and it's rated between 25-50 HP. Mine has 6 tines per flange. I have never questioned if it was too big for a job and it powered through. Untilled ground with vegetation is tough for any tiller, but it will do it. You will want to go slow and maybe not as deep on the first pass. With rocky ground, you will want forward rotation. If you are still concerned that you don't have enough HP, you could go with 4 tines per flange as it's my understanding that it doesn't require as much HP. Sorry I don't have any garden or deep tilling videos as I've only done 6 baseball fields and a sidewalk prep since I started KZbin.

@@sweatequitylife Thanks for the quick reply. That is what the website says for the model I am looking at too but the sticker on the tiller says 35-45 hp required. Its a bit confusing. My thoughts are it would probably work but might just need to be taken a bit slower with the LX2610 like you say.

@@jasonpeterson1424 It would be tough going smaller because it wouldn't cover the width of the tractor. They make off-set tillers, but not a fan because of having to go in one direction. Good luck with your decision. Thanks for subscribing!
