Thanks for uploading this and I hope people enjoy it, it was certainly fun making it all. The notes in my 'blog and also on the Bandcamp page give a bit more context on how these tracks came about, which does also answer the point about solos ☺️ We did a LOT of solos in our albums and live, however what you're hearing here is some recently-found rehearsals, totally live and improvised, and with no intention that they would be anyting other than some sequencer/ambient workouts. When I listened to them, nearly 20 years later, I thought tthey sounded quite good, so here they are - initially free on Bandcamp, but now with a nominal charge. I was amazed at how good the sound quality was. So, yes, I agree, some solos would be good, I am a great fan of improvised solos (always) - and sometimes they even work and sound good. My own solo work, I hope, shows that I don't mind falling off that tightrope ☺️

So good to hear powerful sequencing without unnecessary noodling. Well done, K!

While I did enjoy the track - I am one who misses greatly - the lead solo synth - what with four players - did no one think to go wild with the keyboard while these were going and kind of rev it up some. As it is, the sequences just tick over like a car idling in traffic. Please - someone go wild one day with some whacky synth play along with your artful sequencing.

I like it the way it is. Just play some solos over it yourself if you miss them.
