He was Cardinal-Archbishop of Olmutz (and thus Primate of the kingdom of Bohemia) and son of the Emperor Leopold II, therefore archduke and prince of Austria.

Both. The Habsburg monarchs have been very skilled and gifted musicians over more than 300 years. Rudolph was Archduke, Archbishop and friend and pupil of Ludwig van Beethoven
