I contacted Khun Rikon as suggested in the comments. Very impressed with the service. I can see our mistake was dealing with third party suppliers for parts. Direct from the company, our parts were here in a few days. Thanks again!

Excellent video! I learned so much! I had a Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker that I used for over 25 years. I guess I had the heat on high one too many times (got distracted with laundry or toddlers) and the base started to separate from the pot. Mind you, that was my first one. I swear I had it at least 25 years if not 27 years. I sadly put it in the recycling bin. I have 2 other Kuhn Rikon stove top pressure cookers and they are still the top of the line, best in the world stove top pressure cookers for me. I have a large family and these pressure cookers have helped me put meals on the table in record time and have saved my sanity. Soaked beans have cooked in 5-12 minutes. I've had other brands (Fagor, Presto) but they never come close to the quality and durability of a Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker.

I agree, I don't know what we would do without ours. We don't have a lot of time to prepare meals, and utilities have gotten very expensive here.

I really like this pressure cooker and it's simple to maintain. However, the parts are so expensive that I don't bother. I just let it live it's life and look for a sale once it starts indicating imminent failure. The housing is always first to go with cheap plastic clips breaking. I don't replace that part, it's decorative. Once a necessary part fails, everything is well worn out.

Absolutely loooove my pressure cooker only the valve housing is broken. Nice and steel outside but the plastic grips inside cracked away

Perfect! Exactly what I needed to maintain my Duromatic. Question: Can one use white vinegar as opposed to lemon juice to soak the parts in?

We recommend lemon juice because it doesn't damage the material. There are so many different types of vinegar and depending on the vinegar, the material can be damaged. Therefore, we do not recommend this.

My top is a bit different. It is a black plastic with a red rectangle that pops up. Is the plastic lid suppose to be flush with the metal lid? Mine has a 1/16" + gap. I can't get mine to pressurize. 😢

The decalcification process takes no more than one minute. If there is extreme calcification, the process must be repeated.
