KUIU FULL LINE OVERVIEW - 4. INSULATION

In the fourth video, we cover Insulation Layer.
The insulation layer creates an air chamber to isolate us from the outside temperatures. In this video we cover the difference between synthetic insulation and natural goose down insulation.
We also review the different models and options KUIU offers in their line, from the kenai ultra synthetic insulation to the Super down ultra and Super Down Pro.

Muy buenos videos como de costumbre. Me ha quedado bastante claro, pero me gustaría que me aconsejases desde tu experiencia personal, una combinación de prendas KUIU (pantalón, diferentes capas para el torso y guantes) para cazar exclusivamente con arco, por lo que tienen que ser lo más silenciosas posible, las utilizaría en época invernal, para una franja de temperaturas entre 10ºC y -10ºC grados como máximo (normalmente no baja de -5ºC pero mejor tener margen), teniendo en cuenta que a veces hay que andar mucho donde se suda y otras parar a observar durante largos periodos de tiempo, donde uno se puede quedar muy frio. Nunca cazo con lluvia o nieve, pero me gustaría que me protegiesen de vegetación mojada o de una lluvia fina. Especial interés en los guantes, que abriguen bien, pero que los dedos tengan movilidad para manipular cosas, aunque haya que quitarlos en el momento del lance. Espero tu consejo. Un saludo.

That was great Pedro, best explanation of what to use that I've seen so far. Yea I am wanting to get the Axis Hybrid set for my long sits in North Alabama for whitetails, it rarely gets down below 20 degrees Fahrenheit but we have alot wet humid cold which is terrible if you don't wear the right stuff. I borrowed some Kuiu from a friend of mine and now I don't want to give it back, i love it but I gotta do the right thing so it's time to buy the whole Axis Hybrid set. Thanks again buddy, check out my new bow on messenger, I started shooting it, WOW WHAT A BOW, PSE RULES!!!

Ill check it out, the axis is great but would recommend to add an insulation piece on the inside for long sits.

@@pedroampuerohunting hello again buddy, found the Bohning cinch wrist, thanks for the link. And wanted to know what would be the best set of Kuiu for my part of the country? It rarely gets under 15or 20 but it's humid + I have to do some climbing, I like the Axis, would long johns under the Axis do the job? If I used polyester thermal underwear and Axis Hybrid set? What do you think? If there's something at Kuiu better for me tell me about it. Thanks brother.

@@dannygroves6764 Im trying to get a setup as well for mississippi love the gear and wear the warm stuff in hawaii. Ive been debating between guide and axis as the top. For insulation you could use any of the base layers from kuiu! They are great. Im gonna try to get the pelton 240 zip as another insulation piece.

Would the Guide DCS jacket work for outter layer for Arizona desert or is there something more durable. Don’t wanna get too heavy because it’s not really that cold.

Could you help me decide on gloves? Im gonna be mainly hunting in Oklahoma, Mississippi and Hawaii. I was thinking merino but like the touchscreen feature of the fleece. Would you recommend guide or attack gloves for my area?

I think Peloton are a great choice, and if you look for something tougher that you can shoot your weapon with probably the attack.

Pedro Ampuero I actually ordered both and really liked the feel of the merino. It’s a glove I can wear on my warm Hawaii hunts but still under the attack and guide for later hunts. Thank you for your response and help!

They are different concepts, kenaf doest have any coating or membrane, highly breathable but doest stops the wind. Elements have coating to stop the wind, so it will breath less but stop the wind.

I have the ultra down pant and jacket. It’s unbelievably light and packable. The warmth is incredible. Good investment
