Totally a great purchase. Super warm, quiet, and light weight. It is hard to believe something so light can be so warm. I ran it in some cool weather on a late September Elk/bear hunt.

Hydrophobic insulation in a incredible quite package seems like a win-win! Love the solid color offerings as well, opens up more use in my case.

I just got mine and it is super nice. Only issue is you sent me a 15% off code the day after I bought the jacket haha

Are you guys thinking about making a line for waterfowl, with colors like okres, yellows, and browns to blend in corn, rice, reeds, tooles etc? another idea might be to have your great three camos infused with blaze orange to still act as a great camo, and visibility to other hunters. Just some ideas, but all aside, I love your stuff.

Hey Parker--check out our Valo pattern. The color palette matches what you describe pretty well--it's just in a macro outline-breakup style rather than printed with plant shapes. A lot of the folks here at the office use it for waterfowl (we're in the Pacific Flyway, so we get some good opportunities).

How do you recommend packing this? Mine doesn’t have a self contained stuff pocket….

Is this compatible to the Kelvin Aerolite jacket
@kuiuultralight2 жыл бұрын
They're both synthetic insulation, but the Kenai's insulation fibers are continuous, which allows us to use an uncoated face fabric that is absolutely dead quiet.

What would this be like relative to your upper end insulation mid layers like the merino 200 and strong fleece 200+
@kuiuultralight2 жыл бұрын
This is a true insulation layer--it's much more insulating than the pieces you mentioned, which are mid layers rather than true insulation.

@@kuiuultralight good to know, betweeen a peloton 118 base+kenai I’m considering + axis hybrid, I’m assuming that’s pretty dang warm. I’m just in the lower 48, and Utah at that, so I don’t imagine I’d need much more outside high country late season elk hunts, right? Normally i do base, very thick sweatshirt I have, and the outer and have yet to meet my match and be cold.
@kuiuultralight2 жыл бұрын
That would keep you pretty warm, especially with the Axis Hybrid over the Kenai to help with wind protection. You might start to feel the chill if you're sitting to glass for long periods on really cold days, but if you're moving, you'll be in pretty good shape. But it totally depends on your body and hunting style!

I got the pants to put over my pants. I don't use them walking around. But my legs don't get that cold unless I'm sitting for long periods or it's like -10F. I like them, I figured no fly they were saving weight.
