When my Mom bought me the Peter Criss solo KISS record I opened it and the Paul Stanley solo KISS record was inside. When the needle first dropped on the vinyl I was blown away.Mind you I was only 5 years old but still,Bob's guitar playing blew me away. Not paying attention like kids sometimes do...I didn't actually read the album credits and liner notes till some years later in my teens and realized it said Bob Kulick was the guitar player on the Paul Stanley album. All I can say is it must have been fate that the Peter Criss album jacket I received had the wrong album in it.Because of how much I loved Paul's solo record and how many plays it got over the years it is no surprise that Bob's playing on that record ended up shaping some of my own lead and rhythm guitar playing. After years of being a KISS fan I finally saw my first KISS concert in 1990 in Richfield,Ohio at the now debunked and torn down Richfield Coliseum on the "Hot in the Shade" tour where I finally saw Bruce Kulick play live in KISS.Though I had known Bruce & Bob were related I didn't really know how exactly but I noticed little similarities in their playing styles at that show through my memory of Bob's playing on Paul's solo album and being there hearing Bruce live.Watching this video there was a lot of Bob's work I had no idea about including on W.AS.P.'s "Crimson Idol" record which I have and am a huge fan of.Thank you Bruce for putting this tribute together for your brother showcasing his life's work and what an amazing, hard working musician, producer, friend, brother and person he was.I'm certainly very glad that I got turned on to his playing because of being a KISS fan and at such a young age.I would not be myself or the musician I am without certain records that influenced and effected me early in life and Paul's solo record as well as your brother's great guitar playing are two things on that list.May Bob Kulick rest peacefully and ROCK ON for eternity!!!!!

Hey Bruce, I saw you play live with KISS several times in Tokyo and the US. I also saw you play with ESP in a music school in Tokyo one rainy weekend day. I'm a long-time fan of both your brother and you. Bob was a tremendous talent: musician, writer, producer. This video is wonderful, and it taught me aspects of Bob's career that I wasn't aware of before. What a loving tribute from you to your brother. Thank you for making this for us fans. May Bob rest in peace, and may you keep rockin' for many more years.

Bruce, that was beautiful! I just buried my 38 year old lil brother from MCL Leukaemia with a mutation Thursday. Bone marrow transplant failed, transfusions failed, platelets failed, Chemo, etc. Failed. He wasn't just my little brother, he was my best friend and confidant. I just had it hit me like a Mack truck today. I'll never hear his voice on the phone saying, yeah come on over. He went with bravery, dignity and a wonderful sense of humor, he made me promise to tie two Mylar Ballon to his Urn. One said, GET WELL SOON, the other FEEL BETTER SOON. So Chris David Bird, same mom, different dad. Went out Flippin the CHRIS BIRD (PUN 8NTENDED) TO THE WORLD with his humor. I personally know your loss. Also this Father's Day marks the 18 year of my second oldest son dying in my arms from a motorcycle wreck so bad I had to have it closed casket. 🙏🍻To Our brothers and loved ones gone all to soon. Cheers! From, the Rockies of Utah.🍻

So glad I came across this! It's just fantastic. My first exposure to Bob was when I saw the bootleg footage of the solo Paul tour. He was freakin' fantastic. Bruce, you were the best guitarist for Kiss after Ace. Hands down. If only they had hired you right after Ace quit instead of dorking around with other guys. Regardless, your time with the band and your work is memorable and, in my opinion, monumental.

Hi! he smiled and gave me another hug ... his smile from him and his music I'll never forget them ... they really sprouted from his soul! May you be at peace Bob!

It's weird thinking about Bob's baldness being a problem earlier on, when I'm so used to seeing him bald that hair just looks out-of-place on him! I used to think of him as the guitar version of Tony Levin-if you saw a bald guy with a 'stache and he wasn't playing bass, it was probably Bob. A beautiful tribute to a guy (not unlike Hunter and Wagner) that many more people have heard than heard OF!
