I brought Shabba Doo to Providence Rhode Island back in 2016 to teach some classes for me. He spent 3 days here in my city and loved the local scene and people, and one of those classes was - "whacking"" During our time together, we had a lot of talks about popping, locking, and whacking. It was a great time. I always wondered what it was he was doing in the films, flying his arms around and jumping about lol. I miss Him he was a great dancer and a good friend of mine.

I'm literally jotting down notes on my notebook so I will be able to understand and remember the culture and history of waccking so I can explain and share my limited knowledge to people who wants to learn more about the culture of waacking! Hi Chase. I'm glad this was helpful. Punking came first. Hence it is the initial Action. Whacking is a response or reaction to the initial Action. Whacking is the response and came second after the inspiration of Punking. Hope this helps.

👍❤, (Re: the Disco waacking) This how I and we did it in East L.A. (California, USA) from early 80s to late 80s hardcore disco parties and clubs, before House came in. All East L.A. DJs played it All the fevre's (Tony Manero) came out. Unfortunately we did not have video (lucky) to Don Quixote's Olympic Blvd, Casa Camino Real (DTLA) and HS dance parties by the promoters. This was my High (dancing like this) when going out - these moves to our great music. 'Simple Mind's - I Travel' jam & 'Visage - Moon Over Moscow' (gave away Top Secret fact) were the primary jams and signal to strut your shit. Guys, girls and the gays. I see it's gone to means of expression, instead of making love to the jam.
