Kumpir is one of my favorite meals in Istanbul. Soft fluffy potato with a range of different toppings. Mostly vegetarian. Its available all over Istanbul and you should definitely try it when you are here.

Are you joking? am from the UK, and I was in Istanbul a week ago, I was shocked at the selection of fillings! UK fillings are wayyyyyyyyyy better, give me chicken mayo, beef chilli, Tuna mayo! I mean Istanbul love their meat, it could have been alot better there, with the grills selections, the shawarma, the kebab, the lamb ^_^ the spices, one type of cheese? seriously?! they could make it miles better than ours! but instead, they give me couscous, peas and olives?!! Get out of here!

hahahah i guess UK have improved their jacket potatoes since i last tried them many years ago. The Istanbul version is a lot more smooth when they whip it with the butter and cheese
