I appreciate the scouting report, I'm always looking for new places to go, especially through the canyon. The hiking video was great, as always. Have you ever been tested to see what % of you is mountain goat?

Glad you enjoyed! Perhaps a test is in order!

Great scenery. Interesting seeing Baker from that perspective, I’m so used to seeing it from the south. I would twist my ankle for sure on those rocks. Thanks for sharing.

Kumsheem RV Park, we've driven by it many times on our way home to Lillooet but never stopped in. We probably will now. Thank you for sharing 😂

Really enjoyed staying there!. This was mid week but note a weekend might be busier with rafters.

We too are fans of the #1 hwy through the Fraser canyon. You certainly got the good weather for it. We too slept with all windows/vents open, all doors open until sunset (after 10 pm up north). Great video.

🙏Certainly nice to have the doors etc all open…can’t do with Finch! Hope your travels all went well!

Good job on the Outram hike Gordon. We hiked it about 2 weeks ago and it was tough. Ran most of the way down.

We find the Lytton area too depressing since the fire. We were there the day it burned, 2 hours before the fire. We always stop at Downing Park for a swim, even late September. It is such a historic area. Clinton has a great little museum. Nancy

We are hoping things will start to improve there soon! And yes, Clinton a wonderful area!

@@hikenrv When did Gordon do the Mount Outram hike? We were in Manning Park for B.C. parks day and on the way home noticed that the parking area for West Gate was nearly full. We commented that there must be an organized hike happening there. Nancy

@@douglasmcbryan3705 yes, same day but we didn’t realize that there was a BCParks Day…3rd Sat of every July.

Stunning scenery, which I come to expect whilst watching your videos, the cost for the stop over was very reasonable considering the facilities. Very enjoyable Gordon.😁👍🚐

Last year we went past Goldpan on our way up to Yukon. It looked bedraggled, all muddy from the floods, etc and closed. Have they cleared it out and re-opened it? I like spending a night there, eastbound and westbound trains, the river noise and highway noise all blend into a sort of white noise that I enjoy actually. For one night. Only.
@hikenrv Жыл бұрын
Still closed though campground looked fine. Perhaps not open as Skihist still closed. The white noise worked for us too!

Please be careful hiking in the high heat. A few people have died this year on hikes because of the heat. On a more cheerful note, I always enjoy your videos. 😁

interesting, I've never heard it called Mount Oootram.....always OUTram....
@hikenrv Жыл бұрын
Perhaps that is correct…but not something used by folks we have hiked with. It is the more English pronunciation.Break 'Outram' down into sounds: [OO] + [TRUHM].

Good advice! For Gordon decades of experience and right tools and plans can hel mitigate many of the risks to where he is comfortable for him. Location key too.

I envy you what your doing!!! Even tho this thing that happened to you all is on a negative note, but don't look at it that way look at as positive thing . I always say "The light is created from the dark" "The Good is created from the bad" I seen a video of a retired police officer and he said he wish he became a full timer years ago when he was younger he said he missed out on life!!! so so many people love it!!! Hey gary i think out your way BLM has a thing for RVers that you buy a year pass and you can park at certain destinations free year round i seen alot of full timers do this and they all travel in caravans south or north depending on the season and they all help each others out . Man i would love to do that if i didn't have to do dialysis 3 times a week. P.S. Do yourself a favor always research the places your going to stay at!!! Once we stayed at an RV park and found out down the road had an escape convict from jail loose and we knew nothing about it till i got home and watched the news, So that's why i say do a little research on google b4 you go also check the paranormal stuff about that area! ok Brother be safe and most of all ENJOY LIFE!!!

You could of take the pets with you!! i even seen people Rving with goats!!! The best thing to have RVing is a dog anyways they make the best early warning alarm!! and they are protective and alert you to danger! So i would really think about getting the dog back!!! trust me when your all in a deep sleep and a stranger is lurking your dog would be the first to hear them and alarm you. or when sitting around at night by the fire and a huge bear, mountain lion,person or whatever comes close that dog will be your savior!!!
