Yes Sir ... Enjoying Khas - khas sherbet n Milkshake since childhood .. We used to make Popsicles with Khas - khas sharbat during our summer vacations in childhood ...Sir ..Ludhiana mein khas khas sharbat ki bottles milti hain & they r just unbeatable .. whenever my cousins n relatives came or we go there ... Khas - khas sharbat bottles r a must .. In winters my mom makes pinnis & she always adds Khas - khas seeds in them after roasting in desi ghee ... M familiar with Khas - Khas 👍🙂💐

Wow dono hi drink amazing lag rahe hai , Maine kabhi khas ki jade to nahi dekhi per sharbat bahot piya hai . Bachpan me ye itna accha nahi lagta hai per bade hote hote is ka taste develop ho gaya . Is sharbat k fayde anek hai . Icecream vala drink to bahot pasand aaya 😍.

Before coolers came into being, the windows had the khus ki chickein & a man was hired to soak them in water several times a day. I remember the lovely scent. I also remember the Khus ka Itra during the hot summer months preceding the monsoon season. I spent a good portion of my childhood in Lucknow. We also use it in potli ka masala. But I think you already know that Chef.

We drink this water everyday all time . Along with this we use another bark of a tree called karingali. It makes the water red .In fact this water is served in every hotel in my hometown also used in every household..We don't boil it this way .We tie them up in a piece of cloth and immerse it in the vessel of water so that we get clear water to drink . It is also made into curtains for the varandha by a supporting bamboo slits. They r rolled up when not in use. In summer we spray water on it .The whole house has wonderful fragrance and also becomes cool . This is grown in our garden .There is one more ayurvedic root called shedavari which is used to make pickles. Ur innovation was exemplary. We make a similar drink with just a dash of salt and lime only .Will try r style today itself

We have this plant in our house. We used to have curtains made with this and bamboo sticks. During the day they r put down to cover the windows and we pour water over it to keep the rooms cool. We actually cut these roots and put them into a cloth tied up into a small bundle. Then we put it into the vessel with water when we boil. It is our old tradition of drinking water every day before or after lunch and dinner. It is then poured into a mud pot to cool. There is another bark also which we put along with these roots to boil. The colour becomes maroon. Somewhat like red wine .It is a great purifier of blood vessels. It's an Ayurvedic medicine

Oh khus has played a very sweet memory.. i remmeber. We had red van and when we all family with bua and kids used to go on trip.. that time full carpet of khus was placed on van car and we use to throw water on it.. the smell and the travellin was such memorable.. oh i still can feel that cool breez..❤❤❤❤

We put this in mitti ka pani bhara hua Matke mein 1 week water ko khus ka aroma aata hai Then we change this accordingly वाळा we call in marathi All loves the taste of water and cooling effect.. Thanku
