The colour of fire chakra is red which is the colour of fire element. The rainbow colour scheme of the chakras was born in the 1930's and further developed in the New Age institutes of California in the 1970's. The rainbow colours were never connected to the chakras in the classical Kundalini yoga. The colours connected to the elements are: yellow for earth/Muladhara, silver or light blue for water/Svadhisthana, red for fire/Manipura, smoky greenish for air/Anahata, Indigo blue or grey for Space/Visuddha.

Anita, your manipura class didn’t include the explanation of the two chakra symbols: the five pairs of petals and the inverted triangle. Please explain that if you know it.

Yes the 10 petals are the 5 Prana vayus Prana inhale Apana exhale Udana injestion Samana digestion Vyana circulation 5 upa Pranas Naga burping Kurma eyelid movement Devadatta - yawn Kirkila sneezing Dhananjaya - nourishment The Triangle- The downward pointing tip of the triangle symbolises the origin, and the upward spreading sides of the triangle indicate growth and development. The triangle is also a symbol for the flame of the Manipūra Chakra that expands and rises upwards.

Haripriya, your answer doesn’t provide any supporting evidence. With all due respect, it’s all your gibberish imagination. The five pairs are the five skeletal vertices: ankles, knees, hips, and the S-1 and T-7 vertebral bodies. KY is a technique for a motion rhythm that has to do with avoiding gravity. What’s the square and the hexagon?

@@guillermodozal7166 you are more than welcome to have your thoughts and opinions .. we only talk about 7 main chakras but there is many more.. the chakras are not to do with the physical body… sometime the mind doesn’t like simplicity.. it wants more complex.. relax within and you will find, gravity pull you down which is where we as humans are.. grace lifts u up 🙏🏽🙏🏽 the feeling of levitating …

@@Kundaliniyogaashram, you say that the chakras don’t have anything to do with the physical body. I claim that the chakra symbols are instructions for a physical motion rhythm technique. The hexagon in swadhisthana indicates the six natural motions of the pelvis, including nutation and counternutation. The latter providing the necessary upward force to create the three and a half coils in the spine. Anahata’s 12 petals are the 12 thoracic vertebrae, with their highly developed rotatores muscles, highly enervated by proprioceptive fibers, spindles and all, to precisely tell us where we’re in space. Sushumna is the straight, firm, immovable gravity cylinder that, during our KY meditation session, must always be behind us. The only symbol I haven’t been able to decipher is the 16 petals in vissudha.

@@Kundaliniyogaashram. Where in rishikesh is your ashram. Are you in laxmanjhula or in tapovan. I spent more than eight months in 2018 and 2019 in Laxmanjhula, taking hatha yoga classes mostly at the vivekananda location. I plan to return later this year.
