Joe Campbell is my ever-present, all-pervading model of perseverance. He is my mentor. Gratitude flows, Joe.

“hell is being stuck to the ego system” are very wise words. We get stuck to ourselves because we hold onto parts of ourselves that we are afraid to lose. Living in the face of death reminds us that we really don’t have anything to lose but our spirit of loving life. Being separated from one’s spirit is way scarier than losing any thing.

After struggling for years to understand the chakra's, watching Mythos about ten years ago brought a sudden realization of understanding. Joseph Campbell is a master storyteller who truly understands the complex psychology of ancient myth and brings it beautifully to life

@@CleverMonkeyArt -- He might have also meant something else: Since the Taoists also called the Ultimate Reality, "That which can't be named," if we are in an eternal Now, it's also impossible to say it, as in the Alan Watts' quotations, "Trying to describe the Ultimate Reality is like trying to taste your own tongue or bite your own teeth."

I thought the whole concept of a vertical column of chakras, with each chakra aligned with a particular level of the body (and each level of the body representative of an associated spiritual state), was an Indian thing. But here he's showing a symbolic image of that idea that comes from ancient Egypt? Wow. I want to know more.

Actually in another lecture he discussed the serpents entwining 7 times going up a tree (of life) in Sumerian art, way before the Egyptians interpreted it....

my friend this sort of 'symbol speak' and 'sign language' predates existence itself.

Yes, the egyptians were masters of the chakra system. There are still masters walking amongst us and they are coming out of the shadows to restore balance to this illuminati soul reapening. Our guardian angels come when we call upon them. Multi dimentional entities my brothers and sisters. The answers we seek are found within

these ideas are not associated with a geographic region -- such as India or Egypt. They are ideas. Formless. Can manifest in a cubicle of a Manhattan office !

When you understand everything he says is because you have previously taken the time to research all the different concepts he's discussing. It's also good to look up and research if you don't know something in particular that he's talking about. Campbell gave full disclosure of the Mysteries. Same goes for Carl Jung, Terence McKenna and Manly P. Hall. Along with Campbell, they explained mystical and esoteric concepts in a very simple way that made it easy for all to understand and to be interpreted by all. I think it's terrible that secret organizations and magical societies charge for what you can learn for free with time, patience and research. They should be ashamed.
