After making the mixture we will use 70gms of starch
Milk 3/4cup
Lemon Juice 2tbs
Salt 1/2tsp
Garlic 2 cloves

Very true, absolutely!! What is even more amazing and adds to my appreciation & respect for him, his knowledge, devotion, n sincerity towards his audience/profession/passion is that he is NOT a chef _per se_! By profession he is an electrical engineer who worked as one in Pk and abroad but then his passion for food gradually took over. A superb example of Allah guiding one's destiny! His scientific n analytical background obviously contributes towards the overall quality of his videos n recipes. And yet sooo humble and down to earth. 👌🏽😍

No arab household has every made toum like this. This is an insult to our culture. I have tried all versions of toum, be it albaik's , lebanese, syrian, levant or gcc region ... none who so ever makes toum like this. Stop bastardising with our cuisine, first shawarma, then hummus, mandi and now toum. Please leave our cuisine in the hands of its own people, don't spoil it.

Assalamu alaikum all. I watch many recipes and sometimes give a try myself. But this is First time that i felt I need to comment here. Have been in Saudi for 5 years Alhamdulillah... Tried many garlic sauce, Mayo here in India but still hadn't found that actual Saudi Taum which I used to finger lick with Al Fahm and the one which Saudi Airlines serve their passengers. Saw this video last week, today got time to try it..... And believe me, Wallahi this turned exactly in same flavor and texture of Toum. Really Greatful to @KunFoods. Jazakallahu khairan

MashaAllah..I have always made it with garlic and oil emulsification process but this one seems (corn starch) much better as it will reduce the garlic acidity

I never had albaik garlic sauce I just wanted to make a simple garlic sauce and this came up bonus points for it being eggless too. It was soooooo tastyyy thanks for this amazing recipe for sure gonna make it again also I added black paper and sugar at the very last

I usually do not comment on a video but have to give credit to kun foods for this amazing recipe the taste was absolutely perfect, just an addition I made was to add 2 more tbsp of lemon to make the sauce thicker. Just loved the recipe JazakAllah kher

@@DichotomyOfLove if you can make authentic taum thats great but we can't cuz we're not arabs unfortunately. This is the taste i felt closest to albaiks garic sauce. If you can make it better great but don't go around spreading hate. Being a pakistani or even indian, there are numerous cuisines of purs that have been altered too. But its about the taste if its similar what your issue. Obviously we cannot make the sauce with the original recipe just like you can't make our authentic dishes. And btw i've lived in saudia arab too ik what real shawarma and mandi are thats why we never eat them in pakistan or india because they're not original. Same goes for garlic sauce its different here. But this is the closest taste. Try it yourself

You are not qualified to go on claiming an authentic recipe as AUTHENTIC by saying that OH I LIVED im KSA and tried the said sauce. Sorry but you have no sense of taste if you are saying this cheap copy of toum as same as albaik's garlic. It just goes to show you have zero culniary sense. And come dowm of your high horse. None of indian or pakistani dishes are made by gcc, we dont take pride in other people cuisine, certainly not when its just oily, overcooked food. And lastly, dont insult my country name. Its not SAUDIA , its Saudi Arabia... this is a disrespect. You dont hear us saying PAKISTANA or INDIANA , theres no extra A in Saudi but all I hear the indian pakistani ajnabis in my country, mispronouncing the name of the very country which gives them their bread and butter. You lived 10 years in my country but never once you made an effort to learn its name, just like you bogus claim of this unauthentic recipe.

I have tried all versions of toum, be it albaik's , lebanese, syrian, levant or gcc region ... none who so ever makes toum like this. Stop bastardising with our cuisine, first shawarma, then hummus, mandi and now toum. Please leave our cuisine in the hands of its own people, don't spoil it.

Well, we have added 9 pieces of garlic in it. Everything was perfect just, taste of garlic was too much. Next time, i would add 4 to 5 pieces only.
