I am happy Stephen demanded perfection from all the crew. Now we have a blockbuster movie that might last 3-4 generations in terms of creativity and technicality. It shows when a film maker truly loves what he does and gets the best people around who share the vision and execute it perfectly. This film was a love letter to, not only Chinese cinema, but to American cinema as well. As a result, Stephen Chow was able to make one of the greatest films of all time. Not just the greatest Kung Fu film, but one of the greatest films, period! I own this film in every format, and I watch it at least once a year! Just an amazing film!

it's so interesting that @32:32 the visual FX director estimated this would take 100,000 hours for a single person to do all the VFX shots; but reckon with technology these days it would take probably 2 months for say Corridor to do; given that they do quite complex VFX challenges over a week in which a person will do about 2-3 scenes in that time.

What happened is Chinese Kung Fu Is always Classified as A serious Chinese Martial Art of Fighting. So to blend into a Funny Chinese Fighting Drama is Not generally accepted. Even Myself being A Modern person, I still prefer Chinese Classical Kung Fu Fighting. So Donnie Yen Drama will be Well accepted than Stephen Chow Comedy type of movie . Anyway this is only my opinion. I prefer Donnie Yen type of movie or Drama. Where we see Real Chinese Kung Fu Fighting. Every punch , Every kick, is skillfully executed. Right on spot and accurately to the Precise point. Long Live Chinese Kung Fu !!!

But I find the trick that was presented in " romeo must die" when we ,the audience were given the real thing that happens actually inside the human body when jet lee broke the backbone of his opponent with just one devastating kick to the head , just marvelous !
