Такое упражнение делается медленно, с постепенным ускорением, до тех пор, пока тело не запомнит движение, до полного автоматизма. Потому, что "включение мозгов"/сознания приведет, на такой скорости вращения, минимум, к тому, что палка улетит. Максимум -сильно ударит вращающего.) Отдельная уважуха за владение шестом, прилично превышающего её рост!!.. Кстати, в этой, защитной технике, нередко используется "движение восьмеркой", что позволяет и эффективную защиту и быстрое нанесение ударов. Причём, как из-под мышки, так и вокруг шеи; снизу вверх и сверху вниз, боковые и под углом сбоку, а так же -колющие. Те, кто владеет этой техникой, наносят удары так, что их, почти, не видно.)

I would also say it's not very difficult w/ some practice. I'm in no way as talented/coordinated as this young lady, but I can twirl my bo staff pretty quickly & do a couple other neat transitions between hands, over the head, behind my back. Its great fun. I'dove to go somewhere where Ibcan be taught to hone my skill.

The ladies in our marching band (color guard/flag corps) in grade school learned these same wrist movements with a weighted metal pole so when we performed live with the regular ones, our movements would be even faster and more fluid. It takes months to learn but once it's committed to your muscle memory, you can do it dang near drunk with your eyes closed with the same precision. Never thought it was so closely related to martial arts at the time, but now my 14 y/o daughter has been practicing Kung fu and it's come in so helpful, even with her nunchucks 😊
