I watched this movie before. From what I understand, that Kong Fu book found on the baby was a technique that can freeze and turn back time. The master was trying to learn the technic from the book, but he failed and froze himself. At the end of the movie Fang successfully performed that technique and turned back time. Also, Fang didn't wear a shaolin iron vest. Iron Vest is a defensive technique from Shaolin school that makes your body super tanky. He used the Iron Vest technique to tank punches from the new master. The new master doesn't actually know Kung Fu and punished him for using Iron Vest because it hurts his punches just like punching actual iron with bare hands.
