Full carbon body, engine shifted back, cage integrated to the shock towers, side exit exhaust, bosch ABS, sequential trans. The great thing is that there's so many of these guys over there building to this level. Love Japanese Time Attack!

I love that he’s keeping the 2JZ and going as crazy as possible. The build quality is insane and the fact that he mimicked the early 2000’s style roll cage from JGTC where they would purposefully make the cage tight and low to lower the center of gravity even further.
@NaritaDogfight10 ай бұрын
Yeah, exactly. The roof and upper body weighs next to nothing, no real purpose other than to retain the cars natural body lines

Wouldnt have thought the engine could be moved back that far with the original firewall needing to remain intact for wtac. I assume to go this crazy though it wouldve all had to be approved beforehand. New car is wild!
@NaritaDogfight10 ай бұрын
the chassis (b) clause is pretty vague for modification, which is odd because (a) is 'the original firewall must remain'. There is also the grandfather clause that would possibly allow it for Bando

@@NaritaDogfight yeah ultimately if Ian/WTAC team say it's okay then it's okay. I know a few complained about ferras' non compliant car last year but in the end the event approved him. Hopefully this car makes it here this year. Looks amazing

Do you know if the steering position shifted to the left side of the car so the side exit exhaust could be routed through the right side of the cabin, or did this chassis start out as a left hand drive Lexus SC?
@NaritaDogfight10 ай бұрын
Yeah, prioritize exhaust efficiency. Bando says, 'I will sit anywhere to make the car go faster.'

hahaha if that's true, he really must have gotten the weight distribution right. Also LHD would be an advantage on an anti clockwise circuit like SMP
