Here is a brief video tour of a typical trip on the metro through Kunming China. Most trips cost between 2 and 8 Chinese RMB. You can even catch the metro to and from the airport for less than 10 RMB.

I love Kunming, too bad I haven't been able to go there due to COVID-19 :-( . The metro is super efficient, fast and very cheap!

Yeah for sure! China has some of the best public transit in the world in my opinion. I was hoping to return soon as well but haven't been able to because of Covid. Hopefully soon we can return!

由于众所周知的原因，昆明火车站地铁站 并无法到达 昆明火车站 : ( Due to well-known reasons, Kunming Railway Station Metro Station cannot reach Kunming Railway Station : ( PS：2014.3.1 It happened some very bad thing in kunming railway station! So we can't get to this station by metro!

Yes I know of the unfortunate event you are speaking of. It was a very tragic event. That is why the main entrance near the metro station is closed and you must walk about a kilometer around the station and also why there is so much security there near the entrance.
