Kunming, Zhuanxin Market, Eggplant with century egg, Ghost chicken, Rubing cheese, Yunnan, China 🇨🇳

I find myself in the city of Kunming, the capital of Yunnan after exploring Lijiang, Shangri-la and Dali. I love this city and the weather is stunning, its another Eternal Spring City!
Its also the terminus of the high speed rail line thru Laos and into China, which for me is super exciting, that very line will eventually connect with Bangkok and there's ongoing discussions about connecting it thru Kuala Lumpur and all the way to Singapore. I love this idea!!
Anyway, I hit up Zhuanxin Market and I had myself a fantastic time, the food was one hit after the next, a symphony of deliciousness that made my taste buds dance.

Brave man eating crickets, never tried it but thinking it has a earthy taste kinda like silkworm larvae

Free protein 😂 I ate silkworm larvae soup in Seoul and I think they have a similar mild flavour profile. The deep frying of the crickets makes them pretty easy to eat.
