In tropical countries like the Philippines, these plants grow humongous with very little care. I have several Philodendrons that I forgot about in the garden and they just took over the space. I remember a discarded cutting of a Syngonium which I threw into a compost pile found its way at the foot of an Acacia tree, crawled its way up and has now covered the entire trunk of the big tree. These plants are really vigorous in tropical countries like ours.

Tropical plants in the Philippines can grow healthy even with neglect due to rich soil, appropriate humidity and temperature. My family’s plants are exceptionally healthy unlike where I am at. I have to mimic the tropical environment with lots of work and care.

Wow being inside that greenhouse and seeing different kinds of rare plants must be fascinating and overwhelming. You always pass by one of my favorite narrowform Veitchii and never mentioned it.
