A strong MC is genius imo. For a low spender like me, the ability to clear hard content and claim its rewards was not easy in other gachas if it was even possible, and because of that, I got less characters, worse weapons, and a weaker account. With Rover and Xiangli Yao, I can worry less about scraping by with my current characters and actually look forward to new characters.

Having them being strong allows for a good 1st impression for newcomers, increasing their chances to wanna check out more characters and weapons by spending and in turn, scoring some permanent spenders for your games. its a completely useless stat to me :D unless you're in dark surge you don't have that crit, meaning you will be stuck with 70 crit IF you want to fully utilize that buff 75% at most. while you build the concerto you will miss a lot of crits , it might be my bad luck but i miss a lot of crit with 94% crit rate on my rover -.- if im at 70% i would pretty much miss every burst crit. So i was forced to give him as much crit as i could, meaning that 25% its a wasted resource , and i specify TO ME, there are people that probably always crit with 70% , so for them it will be a godly thing. not for me tho :/

Use skill and ult, then jump and boom, concerto filled For Baizhi you have to use four BAs first before using her skill and then her ult to fill her bar

Rover is probably one of if not the best gacha game MC right now, in lore he is basically an amnesiac god, charismatic and a legend, all of that justifies why he is treated the way he is by everyone then is further supplemented by the fact he is a really good character used in combat, just how a true MC should be. Despite that Rover is chill and relatable, speaking in dialogues and even sometimes having his/her own monologue adds more to Rover's personality, Rover doesn't need some dumb flying mascot to convey and progress dialogues on his/her behalf

i am new to gacha games as of this year. i am a rover main and enjoy WuWa more than any of the other 6 gacha's i am playing currently. my rover team is comfy enough to allow me to experiement with other teams and gradually build towards some more expensive progression. this is really what a mc should be.

What's really cool about Kuro Games' Financial Situation with all this is the fact that while they just offer us a strong Character for free, there is a sum of people who would Whale, anyway, just to show their greatfulness to the Game and its creators. Additionally, giving out a strong Character for free usually encourages the fact that their Limit Breaks may offer them to become even more powerful. When it comes to Rover as a Unit in the Game, I do love Kuro Games for giving me a reason to use the Gacha Story MC, something I was not able to enjoy in another Game. The way they make Rover strong is what I love, too. Rover can be able to fill many different Roles as he/she changes Elements. Spectro Rover is great CC and DMG Buffer Partner while Havoc Rover is a pure DPS Character (but the Games many Modes would still make you need more than one DPS Character for some Challlenges). I always thought a Gacha Story MC Unit should be a Jack-of-All-Trades and I am glad Kuro Games gets to show me that. Hopefully the other Rover Elements may turn Rover into the other Roles among Units (such as Healer, Shielder, and Tank).

When I first unlocked Havoc Rover, I wanted him to build him for the sole reason that he looked so freaking cool during Dark Surge state (I am a sucker for scythe users) and when he uses his Liberation. However, when I had decent enough stats, thats when I realized that Havoc Rover can basically delete almost every single enemy with one crit liberation. This was especially true back in 1.0 with some even saying that he can contest Jiyan in terms of dps if Rover is using a Danjin double Dreamless comp. Havoc Rover back in 1.0 was what Jinhsi is to 1.1 with her enhanced skill damage and what Xiangli Yao is to 1.2 with his absurd liberation damage. Incredible nuke damage.

I appreciate the recognition of Rover being good, but I want to clarify that I fully 100% believe that Kuro fully intended Rover to be good. They knew they had to pull people from Genshin, and having the literal protagonist and free character being **actually good** is a great way to differentiate themselves from Genshin and pull its players away. I guarantee you they didn't mess up - this was an intentional move.

The funniest bit is, Rover just received another form of special buff through Shorekeeper. Dreamless already grants Rover a lot of DPS since it gets a dmg boost after Havoc Rover used a liberation. Then comes Shorekeeper, who also specifically gives Rover 10% ER.

I think something cool would be a paid skin for every attribute. This would incentivize Kuro to actually make the future versions of Rover very strong so people want to buy the skins. You only buy skins for characters you use often anyways. Pair that with great synergy with the on-banner characters? That sounds like a money making machine.

@@saintontas While paid skin is great I do wish it's not paid especially for rover when he and she gets another power up, having it a default skin form would probably bring a lot players to play rover more. The paid skin would be best for other characters that aren't like our rover.

It’s what I liked about HI3rd part 1. You had Kianna who was actually good and she was a fully voiced MC. I also like Rover for this too just that I wish Rover was fully voiced not partially voiced.

I love both Rovers so far. I have a thing for characters that use scythes(Havoc Rover). Same for characters that have some kind of time f0ckery ability(Spectro Rover)

Im so impressed with the MC form this game.. Her backstory of appearences in the past. that shes an entity that can rival any boss in game by lore. and shes not really a human, she may be a taccid or some demi-god/avatar of a goddess.. Thats not counting on how great it is, for she plays exactly like a 5star standard. They didnt water her down like MCs in other games when their just 5star in name only but they really just play as 4stars. Unitil Jinhsi came for me to pull on a limited DPS, Havoc rover was my only DPS. I pulled Jaixin on beginner banner, and used my pick for Verina. Ive not failed a 50/50 yet, so I dont have Lingyang :3. So having Havoc rover lead my DPS the whole time then was just so nice. I went and threw some money in the game and pulled on Emerald of stars for her. I got it R4 now ? Pulled it 4 times and used my box pick on it. I've played ZZZ, and the MCs have no involment other than story. I didnt like the female design of Bella, Something was off about her. so I went with Wise, he seemed cooler of the two. I played Genshin 4 years ago and Lumine hit like a wet noodle (even tho she is kinda cute). Only a little better than Amber really. Ive considered trying HSR, but I know im just going to be disappointed in the MCs being lackluster. Kuro has spoiled me now, what it means to have a great MC in the game for me to use. Also Rover is one of the hotest characters in game. I love it when she acts cold too like a kuudere. Me and cameylla share that in common :3 Greatest thing about rover I love the most.. The two times shes gotten "serious" her eyes lit up yellow and I swear her eyes turned into taccid marks. Just like Abby. Pure baddassary Anyway, enough simping for the MC.. But its been the highlight playing Wuthering waves for me. Ill continue to spend money in this game. Rover simp out!

Ultimately, the main character being strong is very good for the game. It's more emersive to have your main character good enough to fight alongside the gacha character ingame.

in my experience. H-rover and my Xiangli Yao almost has identical stats. at first i was thinking Xiangli Yao was stronger cause of his kit. but i was surprised when i fought hell rider on this week's TOA i tried 5 times. i couldn't beat it with Xiangli Yao on time, i go 5-10 secs over. but i changed to rover. this is with yinlin. 1st try she beat hell rider with ease.
