To be honest, I always come back to your channel looking to see if there are new tutorials or speedpaint, still analyzing the previous ones I watch while drawing. Your style makes me feel this passion that was and is in me, and lately I've been trying to make up for the fact that I haven't drawn anything for a long time! xD I also understand that often the problem of the artist is the fact of doubting their own skills, and I guess that this is quite a natural progression. However, it is apparent that you have a good eye and you are able to analyze many things on your own, sharing your own knowledge to others as well, and that's very helpful! Even though you also abandon many of the projects you have in your head you cannot forget that people are learning all their lives. Sometimes, reset is needed to start something new. For me it's best not to forget the progress you've made as an artist over the years and the fact of how the art actually makes you, As well as many other people I admire you, and even though I really rarely write comments because my English is at a poor level and i don't know if i get everything correct, or understandable xD but at least I will add some of my commentary and opinion because I see that it's worth it! I hope you will still make tutorials or speedpaints in your own time, not forgetting to rest!

Hey! Thanks a lot for your kind and supportive words. I really appreciate it. Honestly that's actually a big problem. I have to change fundamental things but I am afraid to do this because somehow it worked like it is now. But I see it. Things aren't as easy anymore. Videos take time and this is the time I miss improving and exploring new skills. I don't know how to continue. Thanks a lot for your comment though. Having someone pointing this out is really helpful.
@aneo_892417 күн бұрын
Perhaps I can give an example like with cooking. A person who normally cooks will follow a recipe until they eventually practice it to perfection, but does that make them a good cook? Not really, because cooking is all about combining and exploring flavours. Therefore, if the person has this basic knowledge of how to prepare something then it is a good start to try to add something from themselves. It's the same in drawing, the structural fundamentals are there to help you look at something not just from that creative side but the technical side, so that you can then try to add something from yourself from that. I can say from my own example that I'm currently afraid to render anything, and my first render that I did a few months ago looks pretty good, but that's down to luck rather than skill. However, since then I've realised that in order for it to work out, sometimes I have to break out of this pattern of constantly learning the fundamentals in order not to completely kill my creativity and it is somehow working! But there is long way before me, and I am prepared for that. I really like to learn from my mistakes, to analyse what I still need and what I already know based on other drawings and my skills as well. If I want to learn something? I just want to do and just started to draw things I know with new knowledge, but if I am scared about that any other day, I am doing what i usually do and draw things I want, while next day, reseting my brain and looking at this with new perspective. You can see, especially from your comment, posts on twitter or even speedpaints/tutorials, that you know what you want, but you know that there will always be this fear at the back of your mind, because there is this need for everything to come out right. The most important thing is not to lose in the whole process the passion and what made you where you are. And really, it's not worth doubting your skills because that's when you get afraid. I hope you can understand my perspective and how I look at things, which maybe might also help you to looking at something simply differently than usual!

I've watched all your videos at least 3 times! You really bring back my passion for drawing, I'm always hesitant when drawing, I have a hard time using my drawing device especially since it doesn't have a screen, it's great to see your recommendations, I can always say that it doesn't matter what device you use, you will be creative in every way. I love watching your channel develop. I follow you on all social media sites and I hope that you will make a video explaining the division of the body. I swear that I memorize every muscle in female and male bodies and until now I still suffer from the problem that I cannot draw freely. I know that practice is the solution, but every time I practice drawing, my hand screams from the pain because of my device. I don't like drawing on paper, it's not as fun as drawing digitally, and I still have to get a new device, which is beyond my financial ability. The only reason I still struggle with my finicky device is because your videos have reignited my passion for drawing...keep going

Hey! I understand that a display tablet is different than drawing on a pen tablet. I used to work a lot with a non screen tablet but having a screen is definitely an upgrade. Please take care of your wrists. I also relate to the thing about th3 anatomy. I practiced it a lot and repeating it over and over again but still, drawing without reference is hard.

Furry wolf Rin woooooo!!! Glad to see him back :D the white light from the back looks really cool! I really admire your ability to render skin and metal as per usual, the metal looks really realistic :) Is he wearing like a hair band or the wolf ears are integrated onto his head? I’ve actually been using the rough colour layer technique ever since I discovered you last year September, though I haven’t made many digital artworks lately ahaha. It’s really helpful especially with choosing the colours and motivation, and to get an overall idea of how the final piece is going to look like, so I think it’s wonderful :) Don’t mind me but Rin seems to have a particularly larger forehead this time…
@kurohshiro17 күн бұрын
Oh I haven't thought of the anatomy regarding the years tbh it's just furry magic lol Also thanks for letting me know about the head and rendering. I consider this next time. I am actually quite happy with this piece since I haven't made any good art for months. And yeah, doing the colouring on one layer isn't as daunting as having to go through each part separately. So have fun drawing and experimenting then :3

Ah hello! I love all of your videos, every process is something I look forward to seeing. your understanding of form and depth has such a nice touch of realism while also remaining uniquely an "animated style" I do wonder if you could mention how you get your brush tip to be the 3 lines that stay at a static angle? i've been using your brushes off and on for a while and any time I try to replicate that specific thing it doesn't work as i plan; I always end up with a singular line in the shape of the brush that twists and turns with every stroke, no matter what I try in the brush settings/preferences through the file drop-down
@kurohshiro13 күн бұрын
Thank you! The display of the brushes is because my recording program doesn't recognise the cursor. So I see them as single round brush shape and not as the 3 lines. Only afterwards the footage shows that appearance. I haven't changed much when it comes to the settings. Only adjusting the pressure curve to soft on my tablet settings :)

@kurohshiro17 күн бұрын
I am sorry that I haven't explained it well enough. I do the rough colour on one layer first. That way the colours mix into each other because of the behaviour of the brush smudging one colour into others. This way I mimic the influence of colors among each other. But because it's time consuming working out the details I then separate the individual parts to be able to alpha lock them (lock the transparency). I hope I explained this reasonably 🙇♂️🙇♂️
