@kurohshiro3 ай бұрын
Omg that's so relatable tbh. Like I do my sketch, I like it. Then I ink it and start to notice proportional issues then I fix them and colour it, see mistakes again, fix them and make everything worse. Then I end up with 4 corrected paint overs and the original looked still the best lol I so sorry for that. I think that's why I tested to draw faster so that I won't get attached to any of my steps and be more carefree ^^

I'm making a sketch rn that has a gun in it, and i wanted to make it somewhat perspective-realistic. It took me many hours to get the sketch of the gun done, but at the end, i realised that some parts were wrong so i did some things over. In the end i just scrapped the whole gun and now i'm redrawing it from start. Perfectionism is such a curse I did learn some new things on how to draw certain things in perspective tho, such as how to make a perfect square, so although it took me alot of time, i did learn from it

Typically my art takes 2-3 weeks just like you, so it was wonderful to see you use the outline-shape tool to speed up the process! I haven't used that since PAINT TOOL SAI days! I need to pick it up again, because seeing you do everything in one day really proves how fast you got through to the detail portion of your art.

Yooo one day that’s insane - I tried a few times to finish birthday present artworks on the same day as their birthday and failed miserably - I normally spend an average of 20-30 hours so damn, only 9 hours for an artwork with little quality difference from your usual art is pretty neat. I really like the colors in this piece - maybe because I’m bias since red is my favourite color, but I like how the saturated red stands out from the blue and purple hues, it looks really mesmerising lmao. The effects look really cool! I feel like the outline brush kind of ruins the lines in a way because there is no line variation especially in the hair due to the fact it has constant width but it’s not noticeable so yeah
@kurohshiro3 ай бұрын
9h is actually really unusual for me. 20 to 30 hours sound more realistic. But I recently noticed that my art isn't necessarily better when I take longer so I forced it this way. Even if this means using the outline function. I do agree. It's a fast shortcut to put down shapes but in the end I should have inked the parts as well to make them less stiff and include line variation. Thanks for your comment. I appreciate this constructive criticism :)

I think one thing to mention is that you can only draw fast after you get really good at drawing slow. For lots of beginner artists, they want to draw fast and quick like all the professionals they see online, but that’s all a misconception!! All these experts and your favorite artists, they all started somewhere, and they didn’t rush it. To get good and draw fast like kuro, you need to go the full processes multiple times until it becomes natural, then you can take shortcuts.
@kurohshiro3 ай бұрын
That's a very valid point. Yiu have to know what parts of your usual process you can skip in order to receive the same outcome. I still think in the beginning stages quantity is important to have a collection of various pieces to analyse and spot mistakes since mistakes are repeated and to spot them you have to find patterns. learn more about perspective + lighting + focal points i've looked at some of your other artworks and they all share similar problems, compare yourself to some really good artists when it comes to the things i mentioned before, then look at your work, i'm sure you'll figure it out, you can also learn about these things from someone who isn't an artist, just because they're good it won't mean they can explain things well anyways so just watch a lot of videos on it or read about it if that's what you prefer. i promise you that you'll see pretty huge improvements if you grind towards mastering those things, you seem to have everything else at a really good level. only reason i'm not picking out everything in a long detailed explanation is because there's no guarantee you'd even read it, so instead i'll just leave you with the general things you need to work on

ph, 9 hours... my last art took smthing like 60 hours😂because this is my third digital art and i took too different from my artstyle art as a reference and tryed to repeat this arts style...

Thank you! Yeah somehow YT didn't seem to be kind with notifications lately haha I appreciate your message! I'm doing okay. I also watch documentaries while drawing and listen to music while editing the videos ^^ how about you? How're you doing? :)

how am i going to be as good as you
@kurohshiro3 ай бұрын
I agree. Actually I just had luck here and it was also helpful not to have to draw a face. I guess drawing fast makes only sense when you understand the basics to only draw the necessary things 🙇♂️

@@kurohshiro btw is there any tips you recommend for practice? i watched most of your full process drawing but when it's come to real work it's rlly hard

woah thats really fast! for me its usually took 3-7 days from sketch to finish, but the sketch always took the longest because i always look back and forth, and i have problem, i dont know why i keep caring about miniscule detail and made it longer even when i think about its not that important. ( ;∀;)
@kurohshiro3 ай бұрын
Hmm actually the sketch is very important in my opinion since it's the Base and when the Base is solid the rest will be working as well I think :) but your 3 to 7 days is actually quite fast as well! I am currently drawing on a new piece and the sketch is already a thing of 7 days :/
@rakatcf86183 ай бұрын
@@kurohshiro agreed! solid base is really important. what i think is better changed was my habits worrying about little detail that might been not seen on end result, but taking all the time i have to be worked on- ahem, sorry for babbling. but for your quality of works its really understandable to be taking longer! thats what i thought (*・ω・)b♪ not only the artwork, but the video is godlike and always lots of help! so really much appreciate.

It is incredible the effort you put into each of your jobs so that they turn out perfect. It shows that you like to do them in the best possible way, but in one day!!! That is beyond amazing!! I love your style and your videos are fascinating!! . Thank you for showing your techniques, seeing them makes me want to draw to reach that level, even if it takes me a while I will keep trying, thank you for being a role model!!! ❤

Omg that's such a sweet and encouraging comment! Thank you so much, I am trying my best. I always think that the videos should be more entertaining, quicker paced, cooler projects etc. So I am glad you like it. Thanks again for letting me know!
