One thing i really do like about this series is that it lowkey has the whole "Age is just a number" most of the fighters are between 20 and 35 with cosmo being the exception at only 18 which is the youngest in Kengan History. Then we got guys like Kuroki. Heres a friendly reminder. Kuroki, Yamashita, and Karo are all fifty years old. Yamashitas weak bc of his occupation as an office worker. Karo got his body bc of his occupation as a fisherman and Kuroki got his body bc of his occupation as a pro fighter. Never let age stop you from doing certain things. You take care of your body when your young, youll be in great shape when youre older. I pray i look half as good as Kuroki when im fifty.

Yeah, 20-30 shouldn't be shrugged off. If you haven't become good anything yet or you haven't started a family yet. You have plenty of time, even if it's only two years. The difference between me in my 18-20's and now is that my mind matured, I could see things differently, analysing experiences and mistakes in order to improve. Sure my physical ability was different, but I never noticed it improving soo much when I was just focused on making something I know works, that I can't make work, work because I can see my mistakes to learn it. The beauty of that is, I don't even kick myself for not doing things perfectly, if what I do leads to the end result in a way that doesn't need fancy movements, I can settle for it being my way, then move on or try to make it fancy based on what I am doing. Gotta let yourself fail and look like a fool if it isn't gonna kill you and actually make you get better. Nearing my 30's, plenty of time. I accidentally did so much sport this year and got really good at a handful of things.

Setsuna may be a beast but I feel so bad for him learning his back story. Born for no other reason than to die, sexually and physically abused his entire childhood, being saved by someone who didn't even register that you existed at all and being obsessed with them only to find out they weren't omnipotent like you thought and were just human like everyone else, I don't blame setsuna for being completely mentally deranged. Anyone living the life he did would probably have broken.

Obviously it really sucks for Setsuna that his 2nd round opponent was the friend of his dead master, who made a habit of telling Gensai how his martial art was developing, lmao.

His fighting style is visually the best looking one. I'm glad the anime adapted it as best as it could. In the manga his panels are usually works of art, like when he does the demon face, and his attacks are stylized like paint strokes.

This fight in the anime kinda was a letdown, wasn't very accurate to the manga and didn't really show any of Kuroki's rage expressions. They sold a lot on Kiryu's Niko Style and Combination techniques, they looked pretty goofy and choppy.

Agito, weight and reach advantage, adaptable to an instinctive level, even Gensai needs more time to think to come up with counters than Agito and it was shown in later manga that the palm spiral doesn't work that well on someone that can use indestructible like Agito. It's not that setsuna won't threaten him it's that once Agito create an opening to hit as hard as he can there aren't many fighters that can recover from it and Setsuna is just not tanky enough for that. Would have honestly be more interested in gaolang against setsuna

Gensai was just built different be it skill or strength he has it in spades and no matter who he faced I'm pretty sure none of his opponents actually made him go all out. He's like a calm and collected Yujiro Hanma of the Kenganverse

Its a Sin compare kuroki with yujiro. Yujiro is in my opinion an trash character full of bulshit and totally ilogic, He is what pushes down The history and character development of baki characters. Kuroki otherwise is very well writen, He achieve his actual level with training and time by time, what really dont exist in baki, and yet he does not looks like a superman, He is human, just dedicated his whole life on you fight style. Its sad that now kengan has an equal Stupid character like yujiro, shen wulong, the same premisse.

@@luizfellipe2500 I know and I'm only comparing them to combat ability, for me as well Yujiro is someone who deserves to die and no matter how good the father son fight was I was disappointed that Baki wasn't going to try to kill Yujiro anymore so I'm rooting for Jack. Gensai is my favorite character in Kengan since his entire vibe shows a martial arts master slash monk, he won all his fights by use of skills no hack demon back or hack bloodline techniques(I'm looking at you kure clan) and the best part he's confident but not arrogant and everyone of his opponents even after losing to him try to improve instead of being broken like the case with Yujiro
