As of today, September3rd 2022, Southend's new image is crumbling infrastructure,alcohol, antisocial behaviour and ridiculously expensive ice creams. Today was the first time I've been for 10 years and I won't be going back

And what did the residents of Southend get to replace the kursaal? The Kursaal estate. Now full of wronguns and dodgy looking people. And now there are plans to knock it all down.

@moleyofsouthend-on-sea8837 probably never, they've said they'll knock the queensway estate down since 2014 and still haven't done it.

One major factor to the Kursaals demise was the severe lack of parking. There are car parks opposite at a massive cost if you can get a space at all especially in the summer. It's also a fair walk from the 3 Southend stations.
